CAIR's Coup

The Left have been silent from sustained delight. The Right have been silent from sustained fright. About what, you ask? Both have reacted characteristically about the concretes of the Michael Graham firing from radio WMAL in Washington, DC, and the real meaning. A number of us in the "blogosphere" have been raising hell since the stuff started in July 2005, and we have not hesitated to spell out the full meanings and the logical consequences.

After Michael Graham had been formally fired, some voices on the Right dealt briefly with Mr. Graham and the issue. Their dealings with Mr. Graham and the issue were perfunctory at best and incompetent at worst, as we reported on samplings we were heard and saw. All of these Constitution-touting, flag-wavers on the Right dropped or would not pick up the hot potato.

Mr. Lowry fiuratively jumped on this train in the last yard before it left the station, but he did come aboard. It looks like he is staying aboard. As a syndicated and recognized columnist, what he says receives credit as "authority" compared to what we say on the blogosphere. We just hope he stays aboard because this train is headed for disaster. We wish him Godspeed and a loud mouth.

Here are samples from his latest article:

CAIR’s Coup
By Joel Mowbray
FrontPageMagazine.com August 31, 2005

Though there is some disagreement between local talk station WMAL and fired mid-morning host Michael Graham over the details of his termination, one thing is not in dispute: the big winner is the Council on American-Islamic Relations, which called for his ouster, yet has never specifically condemned Islamic terrorist organizations such as Hamas or Hezbollah.

In a year that started with it blasting away at the Fox television show “24”—because it had terrorists who were Muslims—CAIR has garnered more attention than ever before. Now with the firing of Mr. Graham, it has achieved perhaps its greatest feat yet—at least in perception, which is typically tantamount to reality.

And a stronger CAIR almost inevitably means a weakened culture of free speech.

Whether WMAL intended to or not, the station has handed CAIR arguably its biggest victory to date, and has certainly increased the legitimacy of an organization that deserves none.

It won’t just be radio talk hosts that will start feeling chilly when the topic of Islam arises. Television personalities, reporters, columnists, or anyone who works for a corporate interest that would bristle at being the target of a CAIR scare campaign would think twice before making even entirely defensible statements. It’s not inconceivable that media outlets could set up clear demarcation lines and declare certain subject matters or groups off-limits.

The threat of public controversy is apparently so strong that major media outlets—the top conservative talk station in the nation’s capital and the nation’s premier conservative publication—are fleeing from rather than fighting an organization replete with ripe targets.

Take your pick: CAIR’s radical roots essentially as an offshoot of a rabidly anti-Semitic organization long viewed as Hamas’ biggest political booster in the U.S., its co-founder Omar Ahmad praising suicide bombers who “kill themselves for Islam” in November 1999 (according to a transcript provided by the Investigative Project), or its repeated failure to specifically condemn radical Islam or terrorist organizations Hamas and Hezbollah, dismissing requests to do so as a “game.”

CAIR’s key to success in spite of its ugly history is an odd combination of finesse and noise. Realizing that it needs to pass itself off as moderate, CAIR has become the master of making even intelligent people believe that they’ve condemned something when they haven’t.

All of this information is available to media outlets subjected to a CAIR onslaught. None has yet to dig in and fight, however.

(All emphases by us)

Mr. Lowry is getting there. Although he has yet to identify the logical consequences of the Graham-WMAL-CAIR incident, he implies them. Be assured that the enemies of the First Amendment, including our own beloved Supreme Court of the United States, most assuredly will.

Americans' need to ensure that this is merely a won battle for CAIR and not a lost war for America.

It's Here! It's Here!

The following is "O.T.," you say. Well, it truly is not among our usual concerns, but it is quite on topic, in a subrosa sense--because "it" contributes to my morale, welfare, and recreation program. Without it, I tend to get the shrivels dealing year-round with Islamists, fifth columnists, and the vast American wasteland of nitwit media personnel, politicians, and bureaucrats, to say nothing of the cesspools overseas.

What am I talking about?

FOOTBALL!

It's back!

This Thursday starts the college season with the South Carolina Gamecocks--SEC, I might add--and their new coach, Steve Spurrier. This team will bear watching because Steve might do for South Carolina a lot of what he did for us Gators.

A week later, the National Football League season begins formally. Until then, we will watch the final pre-season games as teams winnow down their rosters to the final 53.

Who cares, you say? I do. I am not much of a sports nut, except for American football (that pussy football from Europe and South America doesn't qualify for consideration). American football is, well, so American, and so darned entertaining.

For months now, we have endured the presence of basketbore, basebore, glop (golf), the Wimbeldonian who-cares trots, but have mercifully been spared hockey. Too bad that's coming back.

Now, it is smash-mouth time. It is time to take names and kick ass. It is time to open lots of cans of whup-ass. Break out the blue language manuals, Ma; it's time to refresh!

The most cerebral I want to get about American football, and that adjective is redundant, is to say how much it exercises underutilized emotions and does so safely. You can despise, hate, vituperate against, castigate, scream at, threaten a team on the television from the safety of your living room, and it all gets vented to the outside of you, leaving your equanimity restored and your behavior returned to socially acceptable levels. If your guys win, or if you witness great plays and athleticism, you know that football has put a cattle-prod into the cockles of your heart.

The start of the new season reminds me of the 1931 film Frankenstein. Seeing movement in his critter, Dr. Frankenstein has an ecstacy-spasm: "It's alive! It's alive. I tell you, it's alive!"

Wow!

Walter Williams: Human Rights v. Property Rights

We have been saving this for a time when some of the news turbulence settled. Presently, Hurricane Katrina has pushed everything else off the news front: Roberts and the Supreme Court; eminent domain in Supreme Court versus Constitution; Israelis purging its settlements; and, even hyperfocusing by the media on the "failures" in Iraq. This is a good time to read the words of one of America's brightest and best sons.

If people understood what Dr. Williams writes in the objective way he means, most of America's problems would drop into minor status:

========================

Human rights v. property rights

In the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court's recent 5-4 ruling in Kelo v. New London, statements have been made about property rights that are demonstrative of the paucity of understanding among some within the legal profession. Carolyn Lochhead's July 1st San Francisco Chronicle article, "Foes Unite in Defense of Property," reports on the coalition building in Congress to deny federal funds to cities that use laws of eminent domain to take private property for the benefit of another private party.

But it's the article's report on a statement made by a representative of People for the American Way, lead opponents to constitutionalists being appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court, that I'd like to address. According to Ms. Lochhead's article, "Elliot Mincberg, the group's legal director, said the case [Kelo v. New London] had been brought by the Institute for Justice as part of an effort by conservatives to elevate property rights to the same level of civil rights such as freedom of speech and religion, in effect taking the nation back to the pre-New Deal days when the courts ruled child labor laws unconstitutional." To posit a distinction between civil or human rights on the one hand and property rights on the other reflects little understanding. Let's look at it.

My computer is my property. Does it have any rights — like the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness? Are there any constitutional guarantees held by my computer? Anyone, except maybe a lawyer, would agree that to think of property as possessing rights is unadulterated nonsense.

So where do property rights come in? Property rights are human rights to use economic goods and services. Private property rights contain your right to use, transfer, trade and exclude others from use of property deemed yours. The supposition that there's a conflict or difference between human rights to use property and civil rights is bogus and misguided.

Let's go back to my computer example. Suppose someone steals my computer. Hasn't he violated my rights to my property and hence, my human or civil rights? Or, alternatively, if I throw my computer through your window, it's not my computer that's violated your human rights; it's I. Why? Because I've used my computer in a fashion that infringes on your human rights to your property.

That it's bogus to make a distinction between human, civil and property rights can be seen in another way. In a free society, each person is his own private property; I own myself and you own yourself. That's why it's immoral to rape or murder. It violates a person's property rights. The fact of self-ownership also helps explain why theft is immoral. In order for self-ownership to be meaningful, a person must have ownership rights to what he produces or earns. A good working description of slavery is that it is a condition where a person does not own what he produces. What he produces belongs to someone else. Therefore, if someone steals my computer, he's violated my ownership rights to my computer, which I earned through my labor, and therefore my human or civil rights to keep what I produce.

Creating false distinctions between human rights and property rights plays into the hands of Democrat and Republican Party socialists who seek to control our lives. If we buy into the notion that somehow property rights are less important, or are in conflict with, human or civil rights, we give the socialists a freer hand to attack our property.

As President John Adams (1797-1801) put it, "Property is surely a right of mankind as real as liberty." Adding, "The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the laws of G-d, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence."

The Who and the Why of Jihad Financing

Posters of the awesome Pajama Pundit Brigade often lead us to information to help us understand what motivates the Jihad.

All eyes are on the gas pump. All the world is straining under the the agony as the price of oil inches ever upward. The owners of all that oil are making a killing as we are forced to pay ever higher prices for the use of their black gold to maintain our standard of living. But the owners of all that oil aren't happy because, as do the rest of us, they know that eventually the oils reserves are dwindling, their "Golden Goose" is losing its luster and all that they will be left with is a pile of sand inhabited by mostly backward and ignorant tribesman.

They can for see a time when time when the oil has run out, which means they have a finite window of opportunity to conquer the West WHILE (my emphasis) they still have the financial ability to bankroll the process." "papa bear," blogger at Belmont Club.

Jihad is an expensive enterprise. Jihadists see themselves as soldiers and are becoming better trained and equipped as our military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan can attest. The money to pay for all this has to come from somewhere. Wealthy petrobillionaires and others wealthy Muslims are backing the Jihad for Islam and for profit. For the glory of Allah and to maintain the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed due to revenues accrued through "an accident of geology."

Muslims not see their good fortune as accidental. To them, their revenues and resources are a sign that it is now time to press forward the case for Islamic triumphalism. The now have the resources to thrust the "true destiny of Islam" onto the world stage of history: Islam is to take over the world and the seat of power is to be the Caliphate.

Below is a list of some of the financiers of Jihad:

GOLDEN CHAIN LIST ANALYSIS & PROFILES

CONTEXT

The Golden Chain list (or list of wealthy Saudi sponsors) was presented by the US government as Exhibit 5 in the Department of Justice "Government's Evidentiary Proffer Supporting the Admissibility of Coconspirator Statements" in the case of USA v. Arnaout (USDC, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division) filed on January 29, 2003. The list was also mentioned in the Indictment of Enaam Arnaout on October 9, 2002 (02 CR 892). According to the US government, the document is "a list of people referred to within Al Qaida as the "Golden Chain", wealthy donors to mujahideen efforts".

Originally, the document was seized by the Bosnian police during searches in the offices of Benevolence International Foundation in Sarajevo on March 2002. The list was part of a computer file labeled "Tareekh Osama", or "Osama History", containing scanned images of several documents. The computer files seized in Bosnia were delivered to the US Embassy soon after the raids. Our team was granted access to these documents following an order of the Supreme Court of Bosnia Herzegovina issued on March 6, 2003.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Al-Qaida list of top 20 Saudi financial sponsors include 6 bankers and 12 businessmen, among which 2 former ministers. Only two on the list have not been yet identified with certainty.

According to our estimates, their cumulative corporate net worth totals more than $85 billion US, or 42% of the Saudi annual GNP and equivalent to the annual GNP of Venezuela.

These prominent businessmen and bankers own or control 16 companies ranking among the top 100 Saudi companies.

The complete list of Saudi donors and Al-Qaida recipients (25 names) include 8 individuals already named in the complaint. We should note that the most virulent Saudi statements against the lawsuit were issued by those listed in the "Golden Chain", especially Saleh Abdullah Kamel.

Among the most notable findings, we should highlight the following

-Confirmation that the Bin Laden family has been a major contributor to Usama, despite its statements denying such support
-Involvement of bankers representing the three largest Saudi banks (National Commercial Bank, Riyad Bank, Al Rajhi Banking and Investment Corp)
-Involvement of former oil ministers Sheikh Yamani and Taher
-Involvement of most of them in charity organizations as founders or board members

What We Think Americans Fear the Most and What Republicans Should Fear the Most

Why are President Bush's approval ratings dropping so much? We think we might know.

We are not "in the know," so what we write is a mix of speculation and opinion, but we have been around life's blocks quite a few times and we introspect rather well. We suspect that what goes through our psyches might well be going through Mr. and Mrs. America's psyches as well. If so, the Republicans have much to be concerned about, just as the rest of Americans have, regardless of political party affiliation.

The president's poll numbers are driven overwhelmingly by the status of the Iraq situation. Most people view that situation as deteriorating for us, that America is flinging young men and women as well as treasure into an abyss and getting nowhere doing it. Vermin, also called "insurgents" for some reason, flood into Iraq from Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. Most seem to be trained, armed, and staged in Syria, whether they are Sunni or Shiite Muslims. They pour over the borders as though riding flying carpets. Vast sums of money come with them, all from the same places already mentioned.

Absolutely nothing effective ever gets done to control the borders and the influx of bad guys. In fact, little gets mentioned about the border problem by the President, the Secretary of Defense, or the Secretary of State. Our national border with Mexico mirrors this situation exactly. Republican legislators in the main act like a ward full of mental retardates who are unable to grasp any of the border problem at home or in Iraq.

Back in Iraq, USA military personnel seem to be sent forward as ritual sacrifices. It is as though our course is to keep feeding "insurgents" personnel slightly faster than they can kill and maim them. Occasionally these brave military personnel go on hunt and kill forays, which always seem successful, but results never endure--there never seems to be any forethought or plan to cause results to endure. Militarily, we seem to be bailing out a boat with a hole in the bottom, using a bucket with a hole in it as well. The mighty might of the USA never receives a call, and no one ever seems aware among military and civilian leaders that we have overwhelming might, the use of which could change this "war" in our favor.

We even permit the Iraqis to dare to consider an Islamic state, run by sharia law.

Hey, man, they struck deals, didn't they? They got a constitution, and one constitution is as good as another, ain't it? The important thing is meeting that deadline, not what is on some pieces of paper. Right?

Well, that is how it seems to us out here in fly-over country. We read, watch news, and think. We know people, and we don't have need for "Beltway logic" because it is imperative to us to know that 2 + 2 = 4, and not some agreed upon Beltware alternative.

We also see that Republicans seem to be engaged in multiple, recurring "circle jerks," while President Bush seems detached. There is no Republican leadership worthy of post-911 America. And, the President seems to have no fire in his belly nor any rage about what is happening. He won't even discuss border transgressions into America per se, and he seems equally unconcerned about the border situation in Iraq. He gives speeches constructed to give the illusion that he is on top of this "war," but he seems so distant. He won't even dare to name the enemy nor identify what this war is really about.

What we feel is an uneasiness, a growing apprehension that President Bush is becoming incompetent to deal with the two biggest concerns facing America: our own borders and the war in Iraq. That is pretty harsh, admittedly, but, you know, that is what we, and we suspect that other Americans, are thinking and are fearing the most. We think this is what is driving the presidential approvals so low.

We need a president fired up to make things happen, not to be content to delegate to armchair generals and bungling bureaucrats. Frankly, at this point, we would love to see President Bush fire some generals and his Secretary of Defense. If he won't light off his own boilers, then he ought to step aside to let Dick Cheney run the war and the border situation.

President Bush can snatch victory from the jaws of defeat, but he has very little time to do it, and he had better train all resources on a blitzkrieg approach. If he catches fire, then his poll numbers will climb into the high approval. Americans must come again to believe that Bush is leading and do so strongly. Right now, we think that Americans are wondering about presidential incompetence.

That sense gets bolstered by the sagging performances and words of tired old men and women in the cabinet and a bunch of peacetime generals who can maneuver within the Pentagon and the Beltway, but not victory on the battlefield. Republicans had better face this growing apprehension in Americans. If they don't, they will die by their own hands in the 2006 and 2008 elections and become the minority party for decades to come.

Much more important, Americans need to stop dying and being maimed in vain in Iraq while ne'er-do-wells like Syria, Iran, and Saudi Arabia get away scot-free. The same goes for those suffering the invasion from Mexico. We need bullets and balls, not bureaucracy.

Notice to Readers

This week we have had two-fisted problems affecting our posting abilities. First, our ISP is having a "heap of trouble," and that means that we are also having a heap of trouble with internet connections and email. Second, we have been upgrading to a new computer, one complete with bells and whistles, and that changeover has not been going smoothly. We just don't have the services of Data, of Star Trek: New Generation fame, so we find ourselves getting into trouble, out of trouble, and back into new trouble with the greatest of ease. We have not run out of things to say, but we feel that we are typing with elbows and twelve thumbs, to go with our two left feet. Bear with us. This too shall pass, we are told...

Four Views of Michael Graham from the Right

Michael Graham made a number of television and radio appearances on 23 August 2005, and each exposed some of why America is having trouble dealing with the Muslim Menace.

If anyone does not know by now, Michael Graham used to be a talk radio host on Washington, DC's, formerly venerable WMAL-630 a.m. station. In July 2005, he began giving diagnostic details about Islam as the root cause of terrorism. His station had no trouble with what he was saying until CAIR (Council for American-Islamic Relations) started intimidating the station, at which point WMAL "got religion."

WMAL suspended Mr. Graham, but CAIR insisted that Graham be fired, and WMAL kowtowed. WMAL is owned by ABC which is owned by Walt Disney Company. Graham was fired because he would not retract or apologize for telling the truth, and he would not engage in some compensatory "community service" demanded by WMAL in order to bootlick Muslims in the Washington, DC, area. Graham walked away, head held high, in a state of moral integrity, while WMAL, ABC, and Disney slipped into complete dhimmitude.

We have focused from the beginning of this saga on the vast ramifications of this incident and the way the Right have almost shunned Mr. Graham. CAIR sought raw power with which to assault the First Amendment to the Constitution, to control speech, and to intimidate the corporate world further, and WMAL/ABC/Disney handed it over to them without even a whimper. CAIR and its ilk seek to inculcate the mental state of dhimmitude in order to end all resistance among Americans to America becoming another Muslim enclave, with all of the advanced civilization which has so characterized Muslim societies for 1400 years.

As we have stated previously, after reviewing what Mr. Graham said and wrote, we find ABSOLUTELY NO ERRORS OF DIAGNOSIS OR PRINCIPLE ABOUT ISLAM in anything he said or wrote. His tiny historical mistake pales in comparison. Mr. Graham was fired because he dared tell the truth. That should seriously disturb every American and everyone from all countries who advocate truth and freedom.

On 23 August 2005, Mr. Graham appeared on three Fox News television programs and on one talk radio program that we saw and heard. In every case, he demonstrated that he really "gets it" with regard to Islam and terror. He has been doing homework. Furthermore, what he "gets" has integrated with his moral code because he sees the threat that Islam poses to his, yours, and our values.

Interviewing hosts demonstrated just how far America has to go before it starts to be able to defend itself at the level of root principles, instead of superficial assumptions.

Mr. Graham's first appearance of the ones we saw was on John Gibson's "Big Story." Gibson's approach was superficial. His response to Mr. Graham was that Mr. Graham had been saying things one is not supposed to say in polite company, but Gibson, almost winking, inferred that he was glad that Michael Graham had been some sort of "wicked little boy" saying these socially unacceptable things.

Next, Mr. Graham appeared on Brit Hume's "Special Report." Hume had none of the subrosa enjoyment of Graham's "wickedness," as conveyed by Gibson. Hume's demeanor conveyed that he was not pleased that Graham had spoken things not supposed to be said in polite company. Here the cognitive lesion of the Right was clear: One never criticizes another's religion for any reason at any time--presumably, even while another's religion's practitioners are cutting off one's head. Hume's approach to Graham was superficial at best.

Bill O'Reilly finished the televised interviews that we saw. O'Reilly represented the procrustean Right. He contested everything Graham said with his "beliefs" about Islam and Muslims, beliefs which apparently have not been augmented by knowledge. O'Reilly "just knew" that Islam has been hijacked, Islam is a great religion, etc., and so on, ad nauseum. When Michael Graham had time to say anything, he spoke the truth.

Finally, Lars Larsen interviewed Michael Graham on his syndicated radio talk show. Larsen gave Mr. Graham time to speak. He asked good questions about Muslim, Islam, and terror, and Mr. Graham rejoined with facts and principles which showed how well armed he is intellectually. Larsen could not go the whole distance with Graham. As O'Reilly, Larsen could not separate Muslims from Islam. That there are presumably some peace-loving Muslims blocked his seeing the nature and principles of Islam, despite the facts offered by Mr. Graham.

All four hosts are on the Right, and, in our view, represent the vocal Right. Most of the chattering class Right remain mute. It is a credit that they had Graham on their programs. That they apparently have never picked up a single book out of the many outstanding books available to learn the factual and principles truth about Islam stains them. They are disarmed. They have never armed. They do not know it, or, if they know it, they do not care.

Were we a rich as King Croesus, we would hire Mr. Graham in a flash. He needs to be in a high profile position, getting the truth out, in a CAIR-free environment .

Immigrants Should Become An Asset Not A Liability

Have you ever heard of "El Plan de Aztlan, first adopted by National Chicano Youth Liberation Conference in Denver, Colorado, March 1969?

The plan presented for the first time a clear statement of the growing nationalist consciousness of the Chicano people. It raised the concept of Aztlan,* a Chicano nation, and the need for Chicano control of the Chicano community. Referring to the Democratic and Republican parties as "the same animal with two heads that feed from the same trough," the plan pointed out that to achieve the goal of self-determination, would require an independent political party with Raza nationalism as its "common denominator."

Essentially the plan is to use demographics and acquired political power to return to Mexico the land area conquered and then purchased more than 150 years ago.

There are several now mainstream politicians that present or former members of this group, one being the newly elected mayor of Los Angeles, Antonio Villaraigosa.

With all the discontent and headlines about our border problems, the the only surprise for most readers is to learn that there is an actual plan of conquest by stealth.

Another big surprise is who is alleged to be complicit by inaction. This might explain the pitiful funding for the Border Patrol and why there are so few to patrol an enormous border. This might explain why there are only 19,000 spaces to house the 100,000 entrants that ARE CAUGHT daily crossing the borders. The other 81,000 must be released for lack of space and are directed "to return in one month for a hearing." Eighty-seven percent DON'T COMPLY with this directive.

Pretty soon we won't have to go to Mexico to go to Mexico. For those of us in the eastern part of the United States, we will only have to drive west, and for those of us living in the West, well, you will have merged as forty percent of Mexicans want to come to the United States and more than twenty million are here already.

"They come here to work." Well, yes, they do. Their willingness to take jobs at bargain prices drives down wages for Americans in their homeland. Their non-English speaking children overcrowd the schools, forcing teachers to spend an inordinate amount of time teaching them English, or they demand, and have received bi-lingual education as well as other services in languages other than English.

Diseases formerly found only South of the border or in other third world countries are taking hold in the U.S. for entrants slipping through are coming from all over the world. The sick entrants can get health care at taxpayers' expense and pregnant entrants routinely give birth to "new citizens" that may or not remain in the U.S.

Children that remain are allowed to be used for asylum or citizenship purposes for their parents and other family members. Those that return to and grow up in their home countries often return to demand their rights and privileges as citizens without ever acquiring the spirit of citizenship that imbues those that are raised here. Thus they have affection for nor desire to protect or improve the country, only to use its services and resources.

The screening process should be important, but it isn't as the courts rather than the INS have taken over the responsibility of who, after slipping in, remains in the United States. How can entrants be screened if they come in through the windows rather than the doors? Under the present policy, why would anyone bother to the process of getting a visa and waiting years on a list to be vetted?

Shouldn't immigrants be welcomed? After all we are a nation of immigrants? They should come as invited guests until they can prove they will be an asset to the United States much in the same manner we invite guests into our homes and disallow any that can not assimilate or be gracious enough to reward our hospitality with diligence, loyalty, and good citizenship.

Come to America -- Get a Ranch for Free!

This tops all stories about illegal immigrants.

From WND.Two immigrants slip over the border, trespass on private property, and are caught and detained by the owner and his friends. Of course they resist and they say that the owner roughs them up. They sue him and his friends and the judge awards them, the trespassers, the ranch for damages.

Imagine housebreakers coming in to your home, with your wife and children present. Wouldn't you take action against them to detain them for the police? Or, if violent, wouldn't you protect your family from these aggressive trespassers in your home? In my mind the actions taken by the rancher and his friends are equivalent to protecting not only his property, but our home from violators and trespassers that weren't invited to come in.

Apparently the law doesn't see it that way. Each state in the U.S. has a different view. Some require that the trespasser or housebreaker be given the option to leave, others allow you to shoot on sight. Texas must not be one of those.

Victor Mordecai, Act One

Words of Victor Mordecai

I was listening to the Michael Medved talk radio show on 23 June 2004 when his guest, Victor Mordecai, was introduced. What Victor Mordecai said during that hour was new and shocking to me. I had never heard of this man before, but what he said captured my attention fully. According to Michael Medved, Victor wrote a book in 1997 predicting the events, in detail, of 11 September 2001. I received the tape of that 23 June broadcast recently, and have just finished relistening to it.

Before giving some tidbits, I must state what intelligence analyst and terrorism expert, Victor Mordecai, gave as some important background information. He lives in Israel. His wife is an Egyptian Jew whose native tongue is Arabic; she has been monitoring Arabic and Farsi broadcasts for 20 years, gathering intelligence-applicable information. He obviously gets information from many other sources as well.

The conflict in the Middle East is fundamentally that between Shia and Sunni Islam. Since Ayatollah Khomeini set off the Iranian revolution, that revolution seeks now to take the heart of the Middle East, the oil producers. Iran stirs Iraq to get Shia Muslims to take it over, for its oil. However, Iran's biggest enemy is Saudi Arabia, because it is Sunni Islam. This conflict has been going on since the day Muhammad died, and the Shias have smouldered for revenge for 1400 years.

Iran has nuclear weapons, mounted on missles, as does Saudi Arabia. Iran made its with the help of the Russians while Saudi Arabia got its from Dr. Khan in Pakistan and help from China. Shia Iran plans to annihilate Sunni Saudi Arabia which is 50% Shiite. The goal is to have a huge nuclear and oil empire taking in Iran, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia, as one huge Shiite expanse.

The USA will have to invade Saudi Arabia to seize the oil fields to prevent global economic collapse.

The USA remains in severe danger from Islam because of what the USA represents, which itself threatens Islam, and for what the USA can do to thwart aggressive ambitions in the Middle East. (This is not new information, but it bears repeating.)

Saddam Hussein was behind the 1993 Trade Towers bombing via Ramsey Youseff who in turn trained Terry Nichols while the Iraqi Guard trained Timothy McVey for the Oklahoma City bombing. Saddam also engineered the downing of TWA Flight 800.

Of great interest is this insight into Islamic thinking, coming from monitored broadcasts. As soon as is possible, Jerusalem must be destroyed by nuclear bombs. This will prove that the God of the Jews and Christians is weaker, reaffirming "Allahu Akbar," which means "Allah is greater." Greater means greater than the God of the Jews and Christians. On the other hand, if the Kaaba in Mecca should be nuked first, then it will prove that the Jewish and Christian God is greater. Muslims will abandon Islam and convert to Judaism and Christianity.

Is Mr. Mordecai a nut? He certainly sounded sound on the radio. He said that everything I have itemized has been covered in his three books (available on his website). I am very reluctant to throw away Mr. Mordecai without reading his material and following his website for a while, to make up my own mind. The foregoing, I present as a stimulus to the thinking of any reader.

Victor Mordecai has been "blacklisted" by CNN and all of the standard networks as well as MSNBC, which is why you may not know of him. We have heard him numerous times, and at no time has he sounded like a kook, a conspiracy theorist, or the like. He gets information from his home base in Jerusalem from many sources within the Israeli governmental agencies as well as from many sources within the Arab Middle East. He predicted 9-11 in America, long before it happened.

This Endless Talking Is Getting Us Nowhere

Don't you get tired of the crowd that stands around, bleating while pointing fingers and complaining while our fighting me are putting their lives at risk to do what is necessary to protect this country? I wonder at those that proclaim that West, that we in America shouldn't adopt tried and true tactics because they would put us on the same level as the enemy. It is madness to think that we will never have to take on tactics that we find distasteful and "beneath us" to fight a ruthless and implacable enemy that gives heart to our enemy. The enemy then sees our refusal to do so as weakness and yet another reason for pressing on the attack and takeover.

Many cultures and civilizations have fallen victim to the "I'd rather be dead than give up my ideals" mentality. Soon enough we will have to decide what we are made of. Are we going to make a decisive stand or stand endlessly, wringing our hands, bleating pitifully about ideals while the enemy dismantles our culture from without and from within as it lobs bombs over the walls their sappers are at the same time undermining. This is what I see happening to the West.

A scourge has emerged from the desert and has overtaken much of the world. Powerful nations, their populations unaccustomed to war and deprivations, moan, cry, point fingers at everyone, and at themselves, not willing to take the necessary steps for self-protection, not willing to support the armed forces, the police cadres, the education system, or anyone else that violates their cherished ideals as they perform, doing what has to be done.

This isn't rocket science. Someone has to do what some consider to be a dirty job, that which is necessary to ensure survival. Someone must take the lead, make the decisions and act upon them rather than talk endlessly while the enemy .... acts. The actions they take benefit their cause.

I am not talking about the War in Iraq or just the so-called "War on Terror." I am talking about Islamic Jihad, lack of border security, rampant un-checked immigration that threaten our very existence. Rather than complaining and finger pointing, picketing the President's ranch, parading, publishing pamphlets, and the like, activities that aid the enemy, choose a practical activity that will uplift the country. There are dozens of problems in this country that are undermining our security and our existence that require citizen participation and unpopular or unpleasant measures to fix.

Sometimes as individuals and as a nation do what is necessary to make it. As did our predecessors who came up with timely programs and activities to assist the troops and the nation, why don't we? The Federal Government didn't do everything for them. Why do we expect them to do it all now?

The government can't protect us if we aren't willing to cooperate AND to take steps beyond what the government is unable to do. We could organize and enlist a civil defense cadre, or carpools to save energy, or come up with more up-to-date activities and solutions. Stop complaining. Do as our enemies do...act.

The Michael Graham Saga: Did Anyone Learn Anything?

Many people are finally chattering about and writing about the firing of Michael Graham from WMAL 630 a.m. by ABC. Awakening is good to witness, but it would have been so much more helpful to have awakened BEFORE going over the falls. However, far too many people have yet to catch on to how badly they have been hustled, and how bad the outcome bodes for their futures.

Let's let CAIR (Council for American-Islamic Relations) sum up the saga, complete with their spin:

CAIR Action Alert # 466

DC RADIO HOST FIRED OVER ANTI-ISLAM REMARKS

Contact WMAL to show support for its decision

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/22/05) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today applauded a Washington, D.C., radio station's decision to fire a talk show host who stated repeatedly that "Islam is a terrorist organization."

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said media reports indicate that WMAL-AM fired host Michael Graham last Friday after he refused to retract his anti-Islam statements, make an on-air apology and conduct additional outreach efforts to the Muslim community and others offended by his words.

The controversy began last month when Graham stated: 1. "Islam is a terrorist organization." 2. "Islam is at war with America." 3. "The problem is not extremism. The problem is Islam." 4. "We are at war with a terrorist organization named Islam." [Editor's note: Every single one of these statements is true and provable, but you have to do your homework to know it. CAIR counts on manipulating your ignorance.] Other listeners said that Graham even encouraged a public "backlash" against Muslims. (Graham later claimed he meant a backlash of social pressure, not violent attacks on Muslims.)

In response, CAIR initiated a public campaign against WMAL and the station's advertisers after receiving complaints from listeners who heard Graham make those anti-Islam remarks. While WMAL initially stood behind Graham, it changed its position after hundreds of people responded to the group's action alerts by contacting the station and its sponsors.

"Just as Michael Graham has the right to hold bigoted views, so, too, does our society have the right to live free of hatred and incitement," said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. [Editor's note: CAIR reserves the right to live full of hatred and incitement against all and all things not Muslim. This is the predator cursing the prey for resisting.] "We are saddened that Michael Graham would not take responsibility for his hate-filled words, but we do welcome WMAL's action as a step toward reducing the level of anti-Muslim bigotry on our nation's airwaves." [Editor's Note: This last statement acknowledges that WMAL, ABC, and the Walt Dhimmi Company completed their conversion to dhimmitude.]

Awad thanked the local Metropolitan-D.C. Muslim community, interfaith leaders and the many people in America and worldwide who contacted WMAL and its advertisers to express their concerns over Graham's bigoted comments.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED:

1. CONTACT WMAL to thank the station for making Michael Graham's suspension permanent.
2. CONTACT WMAL ADVERTISERS to express your support for the station's decision.

Michael Graham appeared on 22 August 2005 on John Gibson's "The Big Story" on Fox News. He spoke into the camera, in essence looking us in the eyes, and he told the facts as facts. He spoke as a moral man upholding a moral position, and is moral presence could not have more striking. Yes, he indicated, he was fired, not cowed. He was right, and he stood by himself. He joins Representative Tom Tancredo as a man who told the truth and would not apologize for it or retract it. We should stand tall with both men.

Did anyone learn anything from this travesty? Some things come to mind;

o WMAL, the Always Behaving Cowardly network, and the Walt Dhimmi Company have completed their descent into dhimmitude. Were this pre-World War II, these would be those Europeans having readied themselves to live peacefully and willingly under Nazism. WMAL used to be a proud and leading station. ABC has never been any better than socialist Peter Jennings whom they just finished lionizing. The Walt Disney Company once stood as a paragon company that stood for something, before the groveling suits took over.

o CAIR won a very big one, and CAIR will make the most of this. CAIR is after the destruction of the American Constitution in order to dominate America with the rot of Islam. This victory will make them stronger adversaries, and much more aggressive.

o The Right, to the extent they woke up to what was happening to Michael Graham, awakened too late to effect the outcome. Their right to speak and express themselves has been dealt as bad a blow as the Kelo decision to the Fifth Amendment, delivered by the Supreme Court on 23 June 2005. Most of the Right do not realize that the time their microphones are on grows dangerously short.

o Americans lost big time. Sadly, most don't even know what happened, and that is just as CAIR wants it. So many Americans insist on hanging on to their ignorance about Islam and the extreme dangers it poses to them. H. L. Mencken referred to this type of American as boobus Americanus--and these people endanger us all with their militant ignorance. Those of us who see the truth and know what must be done have had our jobs made more difficult.

There is one other lesson learned from all of this. CAIR has organized itself brilliantly and carries out its actions with great efficacy. We on the other side of this have no such organization and actions. We have a sea of apologists, teeming with political-correctness-and-multicultural robots, and inefficacious intellectuals, journalists, media types, politicians, and bureaucrats. In this sense, right now, we are like Mr. Potato Head fending off the mechanized potato slicer/dicer/masher. We are late to the fight, and we are fighting with all of our brains tied behind our backs--culturally speaking.

There are many of us who know the truth about Islam, CAIR, and its ilk. We are carrying on admirably and well. We are like the Australian coastal watchers in the early days of the Pacific Ocean phase of World War II. Right now, the enemy is in ascendency. And it is unpleasant to acknowledge it.

We must keep up what we are doing as ceaselessly as did the coastal watchers. We will make the tide turn, but not tomorrow. To do any less is to join WMAL, ABC, and Disney in volunteering for dhimmitude.

From Skeet Street: Iraq, The “Czechoslovakia” Concession?

Iraq, The “Czechoslovakia” Concession?

It was reported today that Islam will be the main source of Iraq's law and her parliament will observe religious principles. Parliament will also be restricted from passing laws that contradict Islamic principals.

This news will not be greeted well by the country’s women or religious minorities, but meshes perfectly with Iranian goals. An Arab News article, informs the reader of Iran’s position concerning democratic reforms. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, president of Iran, remains firm in his short and long-term program to the Islamic Majlis (parliament). Western ideas concerning government are incompatible with Islam and his new administration “bravely rejects all alien political ideas”.

Mr. Ahmadinejad’s “program,” a 7,000 word document, describes the United States and an Islamic Middle East as incompatible entities with the former eventually collapsing while the latter, inspired by Iran’s “divine system”, prevails. The Arab News article continues,

“The creation of an “Islamic pole” is the key objective of what the document refers to as “the 20-year strategy” of the Islamic Republic. It is not clear who developed that strategy and whether or not Ahmadinejad, who is elected for a four-year term, hopes to remain in power for two decades.”

“The goal of the “Islamic pole” would be to unite the world under the banner of Islam, as the “final Divine message” and “the only True Faith.” “

Mr. Ahmadinejad’s objective concerning the Iranian state is to control all aspects of its citizens.

“The state would follow the citizens from birth to death, ensuring their health, education, well-being and leisure. It will guide them as to what to read and write and what “cultural products” to consume so as not to be contaminated by Western ideas.”

Iran’s president is honest by divulging his plans and is not shy concerning his ambition. Hitler revealed his intentions via Mein Kampf, but the free world was unconcerned until it was too late. Will the West ignore Mr. Ahmadinejad as well? Will the shift in policy by the United States concerning Islam’s influence in Iraqi politics be the “Czechoslovakia” concession to Iranian goals?

If This Actually Happens, We Have Formally Lost the War in Iraq

U.S. concedes ground to Islamists on Iraqi law , Sat Aug 20, 2005 5:20 AM ET

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Islam will be "the main source" of Iraq's law and parliament will observe religious principles, negotiators said on Saturday after what some called a major turn in talks on the constitution and a shift in the U.S. position. If agreed by Monday's parliamentary deadline, it would appear to be a major concession to Islamist leaders from the Shi'ite Muslim majority and sit uneasily with U.S. insistence on the primacy of democracy and human rights in the new Iraq.

U.S. diplomats, who have been shepherding the process closely, declined immediate comment... Parliament would not be able to pass legislation that contradicted the principles of Islam, several negotiators told Reuters. One Shi'ite official said that a constitutional court would decide whether laws conformed to Islamic faith.

But Sunni negotiator Saleh al-Mutlak said that, at the insistence of U.S. ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad, the constitution would also contain language stating that the "principles of democracy" would be respected.

(Emphases mine)

If the foregoing comes to pass, Neville Chamberlain will be eligible for the Nobel Peace Prize, posthumously. Over 1800 American military members will have died in vain, not counting the tens of thousands maimed in vain. For a president who does not like abortions, this will be one of the biggest abortions in the history of mankind. Nevermind WMDs, etc., this will be as bad for the future of freedom in the world as is Israel's capitulation to the "Palestinians."

Bush has never named the enemy because he would have to deal with the stark reality that would follow. He would have to fight on the proper terms, and he just cannot bear to go against a toxic ideology because it disguises itself as a religion. This is religious correctness, and this is the fatal flaw of the Right.

Add in the distrastrous irresponsibility of Bush and gang regarding America's borders and immigration policies to another and much more major show of American weakness in the eyes of the Islamists, and you can be double damned sure that 9-11s are not far off inside America. These may well drive the 2006 and 2008 elections, and they may sweep the Republican Party into the dustbin. God help us if we return to Democrat Party rule!

There is much more to say about this perfidy, but a news item like this cannot pass without notice and comment. THIS IS VERY BIG NEWS, AND VERY BAD NEWS--if it happens.

Oh, yes, and as for the principles of democracy being respected, did not Adolf Hitler say something like this after being allowed to engulf Czechloslovakia? We are witnessing perfidy, evil, and cowardice on an even bigger scale.

City wants back rent from Kelo residents -- Expects homeowners who lost case to pay hundreds of thousands

Posted: August 20, 2005, 1:00 a.m. Eastern

In the adding insult to injury category, the city officials that triumphed over a group of Connecticut homeowners in a landmark Supreme Court property-rights case are expecting those residents to pay the local government rent dating back to the year 2000.

The June 23 Supreme Court ruling in Kelo v. City of New London gave the town the approval to seize the residents' homes and transfer them to a private party for development of an office complex. In the highly controversial decision, the justices ruled 5-4 that the economic development resulting from the eminent domain action qualified as "public use" under the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution.

The city now says that since it won the case, the homeowners actually have been living on city property since 2000 when it first began condemnation procedures against them, so they must pay back rent – to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars.

"It's a new definition of chutzpah: Confiscate land and charge back rent for the years the owners fought confiscation," wrote Jonathan O'Connell in the Fairfield County Weekly.

Not only is the city demanding rent, but the buyout offers on the table are based on the market rate as it was in 2000, before most of the growth in the current real-estate bubble.

The New London Development Corporation, the semi-public organization hired by the city to facilitate the deal, first addressed the rent issue in a June 2004 letter to residents, calling the alleged debt retroactive "use and occupancy" payments.

"We know your clients did not expect to live in city-owned property for free, or rent out that property and pocket the profits, if they ultimately lost the case," the agency said. It warned that "this problem will only get worse with the passage of time," and that the city was prepared to sue for the money if need be.

The Kelo case is named after Susette Kelo, who owns a single-family house in New London with her husband. Kelo was told she would owe around $57,000 in rent.

"I'd leave here broke," Kelo told the weekly. "I wouldn't have a home or any money to get one. I could probably get a large-size refrigerator box and live under the bridge."

Matt Dery owns four houses on the building site, including the home his 87-year-old mother was born in and still lives in. Dery's past-due rent, according to the city, exceeds $300,000.

It remains to be seen if a suit will be filed against the residents.

"From a political standpoint, the city might be better off trying to reach some settlement with the homeowners," Jeremy Paul, an associate UConn law dean who teaches property law, told the paper.

This Is Worth Raising Hell About

Were it not for World Net Daily, this item might not have seen the light of day.
WorldNetDaily: Decorated Marine denied in-state tuition

What usually happens with disgraceful idiocies such as what Austin Community College is doing to this Iraq veteran is that they get embarrassed when the light of day and the disinfection of publicity puts their folly on parade. So, on behalf of this Marine and America, we turn over the rock and watch the vermin squirm in the sunlight.

Excerpts from the article follow:

Decorated Marine denied in-state tuition
Community college tells Texas native his tours in Iraq disqualify him

Despite being a Texas native, a registered voter and holder of a state driver's license, a decorated Marine has been denied lower in-state tuition at a community college because he spent too much time out of the state while serving two tours of duty in Iraq.

Carl Basham says he was shocked when personnel at Austin Community College told him a few weeks ago that he didn't qualify as a Texas resident "for tuition purposes." Basham was born in Beeville, Texas, registered to vote in Travis County in 1998, holds a Texas driver's license and does his banking in Austin, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

"They told me that I have to physically live in the state of Texas for at least a year," Basham told the paper. "It kind of hurts."

According to the report, Austin Community College officials were unable to specify why Basham isn't considered a Texas resident, only that he didn't meet state requirements as determined by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. A spokeswoman said privacy laws prevent a discussion of Basham's case.

The higher education board is reportedly investigating the case.

The Marine's wife, Jolie, could hardly believe her ears when, after presenting multiple pieces of evidence proving his Texas residence, her husband was turned down.

"[The admissions officer] said, 'It's really your military service that's holding you back.' I couldn't believe that those words came out of her mouth," Jolie Basham is quoted as saying. "He's always Texas this and Texas that," she said. "It's always been his home."

Over two enlistments and eight years of service, the paper reported, Basham was awarded a Combat Action Ribbon, a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and other decorations. He served as a driver and an auto mechanic in two tours of duty in Iraq, each lasting seven months, he said.

Basham was honorably discharged from the Marines on Jan. 31 and hopes to work toward a degree in emergency medical care.

Lightening Up, Briefly

There are two things very hard to sustain. First, "life as an emergency" burns you out in no time because the process of living is not a chronic emergency because emergencies by nature exist briefly. Second, tolerating "the daily grind" of the q'rap in the world wears one out fairly often and requires considerable replenishment to keep going. The news of the day falls into this second category, and it is relief from that sustained focus that we must have.

Well, try this.

Unfree Under Islam: Shariah endangers women's rights, from Iraq to Canada: by Ayaan Hirsi Ali

Unfree Under Islam:Shariah endangers women's rights, from Iraq to Canada.

BY AYAAN HIRSI ALI
Tuesday, August 16, 2005 12:01 a.m.

In every society where family affairs are regulated according to instructions derived from the Shariah or Islamic law, women are disadvantaged. The injustices these women are exposed to in the name of Islam vary from extreme cruelty (forced marriages; imprisonment or death after rape) to grossly unfair treatment in matters of marriage, divorce and inheritance.

Muslim women across the world are caught in a terrible predicament. They aspire to live by their faith as best they can, but their faith robs them of their rights. Two cases demonstrate just how difficult that struggle can be, in the context of new as well as established democracies.

The first is the draft constitution of Iraq, now due next week. Iraqi women like Naghem Khadim, demonstrating on the streets of Najaf, are fighting to prevent an article from being put in the constitution that would establish that the legislature may make no laws that contradict Shariah edicts. The second case is the province of Ontario, in Canada. There, Muslim women led by Homa Arjomand, an activist of Iranian origin, are fighting--using the Canadian Charter of Rights--to keep Shariah from being applied as family law through a so-called Arbitration Act passed as law in Ontario in 1992.

An Iraqi constitution is necessary, and the need for urgency is apparent, but urgency is a bad argument for passing a bill that strips half the nation of its rights. In Ontario, minorities come first and individual women within minorities last, living as second-class citizens and suffering in silence.

Ms. Hirsi Ali, a member of the Dutch parliament for the Liberal Party, was born in Somalia. She took refuge in the Netherlands in 1992 to escape an arranged marriage, and has had armed bodyguards after receiving death threats from Muslim extremists. GUEST BLOG: Cementing An Agenda

From Skeet Street.

Iran's recently nominated president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad continues to cement his hardline anti-West and anti-reform regime by appointing cabinet ministers known for their intractability concerning Iran's "glorious" revolution. Mr. Ahmadinejad recently stated here, "The wave of the Islamic revolution will soon reach the entire world."

He is now working to consolidate an exportation (see here) of this "revolution" by actively courting fellow Islamic, but non Shi'a, nations with conciliatory rhetoric such as this, "The Islamic World's prestige, talents and capabilities are far beyond what it has today... Sympathy, understanding, solidarity, and cooperation among Muslim brothers can pave the way for the blossoming of all potentials, and restoration of the Islamic World's deserved prestigious status."

Could the upcoming December meeting of the Gulf security conference featuring discussion on politics between Iran, Iraq and Saudi Arabia be an Iranian pretext to dissolve disparities and concentrate on commonalities between those three nations, with special emphasis on Saudi Arabia?

Indeed, the Tehran Times advises an oil embargo as the best way to confront Western opposition to Iran's nuclear ambition. Will the Saudis and eventually the fledgling, Iraqi nation form a tripartite pact with Iran in an attempt to shut down the economies of the West, with special emphasis on the United States?

In light of this news concerning Mr. Ahmadinejad filling his cabinet with uncompromising ministers, the export of the Islamic Revolution and a threatened oil embargo, it should be crystal clear to Western leaders what his agenda truly is.

HOW POLITICAL CORRECTNESS KILLS: The Pentagon versus Body Armor for the Soldier in the Field

What do you get when you mix "make nice" political correctness via a cockamamie federal procurement policy + more than "bare bones" middle management? You get dead American soldiers. 28 months into this Iraqi "war," and our troops still do not have required basic armor to fend off enemy munitions. Why is that?

Sunday morning, 14 August 2005, Col. David Hunt, USA (Retired), Fox News consultant, laid it out. He recently published They Just Don't Get It: How the Washington Political Machine is Still Compromising Your Safety--and What You Can Do About It.

The Pentagon insists on using small contractors to make body armor, among filling other vital needs. It's more of that self-sacrificial federal service to others of compensating the little guy because the big guy has gotten the breaks previously. It is like minority hires, when the minorities cannot do the job. These small companies cannot do the job. We are being POLITICALLY CORRECT, and it is killing our men and women!

What is better? Contracting with big manufacturers, whether in America or overseas! The object is to protect our military members NOW. That requires remembering that there is a WAR going on, and "making nice" for the so-called "have nots" should be left for ice cream socials.

Second to this erroneous policy is the over-management that characterizes the Pentagon. Why have one person make decisions when twenty-five or more can provide "group think," i.e., true responsibility-less, dingbattery, if there ever was any. So many are have a finger in the pie that no one honchos the job and "gets-r-done."

After listening to Col Hunt, we turned to our print and electronic news sources. As if by magic, the New York Times corroborated this travesty, so well outlined by Col Hunt. Here are some tidbits:

U.S. Struggling to Get Soldiers Updated Armor - New York Times, August 14,
2005, by MICHAEL MOSS

For the second time since the Iraq war began, the Pentagon is struggling to replace body armor that is failing to protect American troops from the most lethal attacks by insurgents.

The ceramic plates in vests worn by most personnel cannot withstand certain munitions the insurgents use. But more than a year after military officials initiated an effort to replace the armor with thicker, more resistant plates, tens of thousands of soldiers are still without the stronger protection because of a string of delays in the Pentagon's procurement system.

While much of the focus on casualties in Iraq has been on soldiers killed by explosive devices aimed at vehicles, body armor remains critical to the military's goals in Iraq. Gunfire has killed at least 325 troops, about half the number killed by bombs, according to the Pentagon.

Among the problems contributing to the delays in getting the stronger body armor, the Pentagon is relying on a cottage industry of small armor makers with limited production capacity. In addition, each company must independently come up with its own design for the plates, which then undergo military testing. Just four vendors have begun making the enhanced armor, according to military and industry officials. Two more companies are expected to receive contracts by next month, while 20 or more others have plates that are still being tested.

The ensuing scramble to produce more plates was marred by a series of missteps in which the Pentagon gave one contract to a former Army researcher who had never mass-produced anything. He was allowed to struggle with production for a year before he gave up. An outdated delivery plan slowed the arrival of plates that were made. In all, the war was 10 months old before every soldier in Iraq had plates in late January 2004.

Col. Bruce D. Jette, who directed a special unit at the Pentagon known as the Rapid
Equipping Force until he retired last fall, said the military's reliance on small companies to make body armor succeeded in spurring innovation. But in failing to acquire the rights to those designs, the military may be passing up an opportunity to increase production, he added.

Meanwhile, a burst of research is under way to develop even stronger body armor, though some earlier efforts appear to have slipped through the cracks. At the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Stephen D. Nunn said his group formulated a polymer that can be added to the ceramic plates to increase their strength. "Our material and assembly seems to perform better than anything else I've read about," he said.

But the group's contract was limited to fortifying helicopters. When that project ended in 2001, there was no money to extend the work to body armor, Mr. Nunn said.

(All emphases mine)

Do you ever wonder why we do not seem to be winning this war in Iraq, even though the propaganda machines say that we are? It is very, very simple. We are thinking ourselves into oblivion, because we are not thinking correctly. We are allowing nonsense to replace sense, and allowing clusters of inappropriate feelings to replace cold hard reason. Reason wins wars, not feelings. Reason armors our troops and does not give a damn about whether the so-called "little guy" feels good. It also sends most of those middle managers in the military into retirement or to work in the field.

Robert Spencer's New Book

We recommend the Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades), by Robert Spencer, [Regnery, Washington, DC; 2005; ISBN 0-89526-013-1]. It benefits readers on several levels.

First, for those very new to the truth about Islam, this book serves as an excellent introduction. Second, for those already somewhat familiar with the truth about Islam, this book refreshes and furthers what they know, as well as providing references for additional reading. Third, for those quite familiar with the truth about Islam, this book serves as a terrific handout to anyone needing that nudge to get started learning; for this use, it would be worthwhile to have a case of these books for handing out.

The author is highly knowledgeable about Islam—the truth about Islam—and writes in an engaging and clear style. Much of the referenced material will be familiar to those who frequent his outstanding website, Jihad Watch/Dhimmi Watch. What may be newest to most is the author’s debunking the lies about the Crusades, perpetrated by those who have reason to conceal the truth. At the end of this small volume, the author offers a number of useful suggestions about what to do about Islam, Those new to the subject will find these suggestions particularly useful.

To us, the most important aspect of the book comes from its point/counter-point style which presents myths, errors, and outright lies perpetrated about the goodness of Islam of today and yesterday--and then presents the truth. These myths, errors, and lies recur endlessly among columnists, journalists, broadcast media folk, and among far too many Americans. Here are a few examples:

• PC Myth: We can negotiate with these people
• PC Myth: Islam’s war teachings are only a tiny element of the religion
• PC Myth: Islam is a tolerant faith
• PC Myth: Islam forbids the killing of the innocent
• PC Myth: Islam was once the foundation of a great cultural and scientific flowering

The author presents many other myths about Islam and about the Crusades as well.

One of the best chapters, as we see it, is Chapter 16, “’Islamophobia’ and Today’s Ideological Jihad." This term, “Islamophobia,” has been coined and exploited in order to demonize criticism of Islam and intimidate the morally uncertain from even attempting criticism. It is a term, as we see it, arising from three sources: the ideological pool of postmodernism with its profound anti-Americanism; the United Nations' commitment to exploiting the USA while silencing it; and the forces of the covert jihad, such as CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), attempting to induce dhimmitudinous thinking, and fear into Americans. Since there are so many in America who are so morally uncertain these days, this term has traction among them. In the politically correct circles, “Islamophobia” equates emotionally to “racism,” and is intended to produce the same robotic response. Robert Spencer tackles this and similar issues fearlessly, and we bow in respectful recognition of his fearless fortitude and moral certainty. As one typical Islamist wrote Robert Spencer, a comment reproduced on the book’s front cover, “May Allah rip out his spine from his back and split his brains in two, and then put them both back, and then do it over and over again. Amen.” You have to have a lot of “spine” to face such lunatics, and Spencer has that.

It is worth noting that this book has become a main selection of the Conservative Book Club and receives extensive promotion on Town Hall, World Net Daily, and NewsMax websites. We think this has much greater meaning than recognized generally.

Previously, when a book critical of Islam showed up on the National Review Online book service, CAIR went into high gear and pressured NRO to remove the book, even though it was said to be a rather positive biography of Muhammad, written by a priest many years ago. NRO caved in. That book left its book service list, never to return. However, Robert Spencer’s Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) enjoys prominent display on the same National Review Book Service.

What do we make of the foregoing? We see it as, hopefully, part of some “great awakening” of the Right in America to the nature of Islam. Previously, the Right muted itself on Islam, kowtowing before it and providing endless excuses because, the Right said, "Islam is a religion, one of the three great religions, a religion of peace, a religion distorted by the equivalent of religious gangsters to their nefarious ends." Thanks to Spencer’s prior work, and the work of all of those outstanding contributors to the truth about Islam, and the march of the facts of reality, the Right may be awakening. Hopefully it will be enough, soon enough.

Our criticisms of Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades) per se are few. As found previously in Spencer’s books, critically vital questions about (philosophical) fundamentals do not get asked or answered, and some religious correctness and philosophical errors peek out now and then. These do not detract from the overall value of the book for most people. The book will really serve more nearly as "Cliff Notes." Its title nicely defines its intended scope, with the operative term in the title being “guide.” That is what a reader should expect, and the author masterfully meets that goal. If this book takes boobus Americanus—to borrow from H. L. Mencken—who is almost militantly ignorant about Islam and and inspires him to read more, then it contributes to America’s future magnificently.

Mr. Spencer’s new book brings high value to readers, and it belongs in the libraries of even the most advanced scholars on these matters. So, thumbs up, it is; or, if you want, give this book a bunch of stars. And, be very grateful that there is someone interested enough and able enough to make these materials available and so digestible to a general readership. Even younger readers can manage this well-written book. Criticisms notwithstanding, this book belongs on our MUST READ LIST. From this book, go to his other three books and those of other terrific authors on the subject (see Recommended).

Is the American Right Improving re: Islam?

There is no satisfying answer yet to the question in the title, Is the American Right Improving re: Islam? At times, however, we tend to think the Right are improving, but they have not tackled the fundamental hangup which stands as THEIR Achilles Heel.

Clifford May from Foundation for the Defense of Democracies illustrates one of the crippling thought hangups of the Right.

The War Against the Free World

By Clifford D. May, Scripps Howard News Service, July 28, 2005

America is not fighting a war against Islam. America is fighting a war against Islamism.

...bin Laden...[is]...a renegade, an enemy of Islam who brings shame to the faith. (Emphases mine)

Mr. May should know better than to try to cobble together some bogus differentiation between "Islam" and "Islamism," and try to peddle the notion that we are not at war with Islam. These snippets illustrate one of the severe thinking handicaps hobbling intellectuals on the Right. Bin Laden, in fact, magnificently represents orthodox Islam, the apocalyptic side of Islam. His is the real Islam, stripped of fundamental contradictions and "moderations," which the orthodox Muslims rightly call "hypocrisy."

It does not take much reading to come to realize that Islam is Islam, that Islam is as Islam has always been, and that there is just one Islam at root. All these pseudo-distinctions between Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Wahhabi, moderate, and any other are mere superficialities. Islam is what it says it is, and it has not deviated since 900 C.E. There is no "Islam vs Islamism." It is all Islam, and bin Laden is the real meaning of Islam, just as much as Khameini in Iran. Bin Laden does not bring shame to the faith; he brings glory to Islam in its authentic meaning, just as the mullahs of Iran glorify Islam.

And, yes, we are at war with Islam. From the Right, all the king's horses and all the king's men cannot make this "Humpty Dumpty" be what he is not. People die and suffer greatly because of the war with Islam. This is a war that Islam declared on us. The Right had no trouble at the time, nor now, knowing that we were at war with Japan and Nazi Germany, not selected individuals. The same truth applies to Islam. Why the reticence to identify the material provided by ones' senses?

Sometimes there are suggestions that some on the Right are improving. Michael Medved on his talk radio show will now at least interview people like Dr. Robert Morey and Victor Mordecai, experts who take very reasoned, hard-lined, and consistent positions against Islam, something Mr. Medved cannot yet do. Yet, he will now talk critically about Islam. A year or so ago, he was caught up so much in right wing political correctness, which in part takes the form of religious correctness, that it made him sound like Mr. May's comment. He inches now toward acknowledging that the war is with Islam, and the problem IS Islam. Michael Savage is the closest to naming the full truth of all of the syndicated hosts I hear, and Sean Hannity is the farthest away.

Where I live, we have a local conservative talk radio host in the afternoons who now speaks favorably of the need for profiling Muslims. It seems that the events of 7 and 21 July 2005 in London moved his thinking a little farther down the line and slightly away from his zealous religious correctness. He seems mute these days about terrorism arising from hijacked Islam, and the usual line that the politically correct spout.

Alas, however, political correctness on the Right still reigns. When Representative Tom Tancredo's remarks to a radio interview circulated, right wing talk radio hosts either were silent or went nuts condemning the congressman. They attacked their interpretation of what he said, not what the congressman actually said. The notion of even thinking about attacking the cardinal Muslim holy sites turned so many of these syndicated radio hosts rabid. Their religious correctness took over their thought processes and banished rational thought from their minds.

Then, even more disturbing, has been the response of the right wing, particularly right wing talk radio, to the events at radio station WMAL, 630 a.m., in Washington, DC. In July 2005, as we documented on this blog, talk show host Michael Graham spoke critically of Islam. CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) went into high gear to mobilize its claque to harrass WMAL into dhimmitude, into making WMAL kowtow and apologize. A few days later, Mr. Graham published an explanatory article on Jewish World Review. This article plus the harrassment by CAIR against WMAL and its advertisers produced the dhimmi response in WMAL, and Mr. Graham was suspended without pay. Mr. Graham's article contained one, really minor, historical error but was otherwise absolutely correct about Islam and its role in contemporary terrorism. Mr. Graham's replacement host, Geoff Metcalf, spoke about the formalized lying practices used by Islam, about which he was 100% correct, and he came under fire from CAIR.

CAIR had two purposes in its assault on WMAL. The short-range purpose was to induce a dhimmitudinous state of mind in WMAL directly, with expectations that the fright would ripple outward to scare other stations and their hosts out of criticizing Islam. The longer-range purpose was to shut down free speech, in essence, to abrogate the first amendment by having dhimmis censor themselves. These purposes go far beyond, but immediately they play into the hands of people like Senator Harkin who want to shut down right wing talk radio all together. The implications and ramifications are huge for America.

So, what has been the response of syndicated right wing talk radio to the WMAL situation? That's just what the problem is: there has been no response. These people, under the precedent of threat to their existence and to our free speech, have said little or nothing. I myself have heard nothing from Medved, Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage, Larson, or anyone else on local or national right wing talk radio [of course, something might have escaped my catching it, but, if so, it was fleeting and really "beneath the radar"]. Other than Diana West and World Net Daily, where are the right wing press and related media? Fox News? Nothing, and nothing could disturb me more--political correctness of the right has gotten their tongues. Better said, it has gotten their minds.

It is wrong to accuse the Left and the amorphous middle about succumbing to political correctness while leaving out the Right. The Right may be even more dangerous with their brand of political correctness. Look, even the President of the United States will not name the enemy we are dealing with in this nebulously named "war on terror." He will talk of the enemies having hateful ideology, but he won't name it. He is already talking like a semi-dhimmi.

Those Islamists engaged in this war from Islam against the West fully recognize how political correctness has so many in America paralyzed. CAIR and similar organizations use it against us all the time, with great effectiveness. We are letting our enemies turn us into a nation of dhimmis, in preparation for becoming an Islamic state.

Her words are so important, that this statement by Bat Ye'Or regarding making us mental dhimmis FIRST cannot be over-stressed:

Dhimmitude is characterised by the victim's siding with his oppressors, by the moral justification the victim provides for his oppressors' hateful behavior, and by the destruction of the victim's own self by a mental enslavement of love and admiration toward his oppressors. Willfully serving his oppressors, the dhimmi loses the sense of his own rights and humanity. He loses the possibility of revolt because revolt arises from a sense of injustice, and the dhimmi justifies the injustices done against him because he is utterly destroyed as a human being.

Yes, there are some inklings of improvement. With the publication of Robert Spencer's new book, The Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam (and the Crusades), the Right seem to be mobilizing. Even the National Review Book Service which dhimmied before CAIR to remove Fr. Menzies' book about Muhammad from its offerings, now pushes the Spencer book. So do Town Hall, World Net Daily, and NewsMax. Even the Conservative Book Club has made it a major selection. Not too long ago, pushing material critical of Islam was too much for too many on the Right--it was religiously incorrect. Time, bombings, and continuing slaughters might be turning the tide to the right. We can only hope.

From our perspective, the Right is still changing insufficiently in terms of quality and quantity. It's fundamental lesion is its militant blindness to seeing and naming the truth. Until it does, it is just another drayhorse in harness, pulling along with the Left, down the wrong road.

GUEST BLOG: The Taj Mahal Controversy

Also see Skeet Street's article Coining Replacement Terms, on 6th Column Against Jihad,

George,

I was reading the news today and came up with these thoughts which I'd like to share with you.

Another controversy concerning the Taj Mahal follows this recent dispute which claims Islamic ownership of the great Mogul monument. Of course, the Muslim claimants demand exclusive management of the Taj, rejecting government administration (since 1920) of the historic site all the while being a minority
status amongst the Indian population.

If the Indian government does eventually cave in to Muslim demands one must wonder if the Taj will fall victim to blatant destruction by its Muslim managers as did the Bamiyan Buddhas by the Taliban and more recently, the systematic destruction by its Saudi masters of historic Mecca, the cradle of Islam and its most holiest city?

Or will it fall suffer disrepair and neglect like Egypt's Sphinx and pyramids? One of mankind's greatest achievements which kindled a European interest in preservation only after Napoleon invaded the area and one which now is kept intact mainly because it draws so many tourism dollars. Will a terrorist attack against the Taj ebb the flow of that tourist dollar just as the Luxor attacks devastated Egyptian tourism? What is the saying - "A person's past behavior is a good indicator of future behavior"?

Sincerely,

Skeet Street

Keeping the Eyes on the Prize: The "Eminent Domaining" of Justice Breyer's Home

WorldNetDaily: Effort to take Breyer's home moving ahead, Friday, August 12, 2005, by Joe Kovacs, © 2005 WorldNetDaily.com

The effort to seize the vacation home of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is moving ahead toward the goal of a public vote in March...according to John Babiarz, chairman of the New Hampshire's Libertarian Party..."We have every intention of doing the proper petitioning and have the people of Plainfield make the decision," Babiarz said. "We're in the petition-gathering stage right now." Babiarz, a 2002 candidate for governor in the Granite State, stressed the seriousness of the issue in the wake of the high court's recent ruling on eminent domain, giving governments the power to transfer private property from one private party to another. The decision ignited a firestorm of outrage across the political spectrum.

"Property rights are very important," said Babiarz, who would like Breyer's land to become a public park. "It's got to go from talk to action. ... I think the justices don't realize the impact [of their decision]." [Ed. Note: I disagree. I think these socialist justices know full well the impact of their decisions. See the last paragraph of this article below.]

Justice Breyer, who owns 167 acres in the Connecticut River Valley in Plainfield, N.H., is the second Supreme Court justice to be targeted for property seizure. Justice David Souter's home is also in the crosshairs of a California entrepreneur who's looking to build the "Lost Liberty Hotel" on Souter's land in the town of Weare, N.H.

As WND exclusively reported this week, Breyer made news beyond eminent domain by saying not all rulings from America's highest court are correct, admitting judges don't have "some great special insight," and he defended the practice of studying courts in foreign countries to help decide cases in the United States.

(All emphases mine)

O.K., at the risk of seeming humorless, I must stress that de-dominciling Justices Souter and Breyer, using their own ruling, constitutes just deserts, but such actions alone will accomplish no more than salvos from pop-guns. No one can let up efforts until the ruling the Supreme Court made on 23 June 2005 (Kelo vs. New London, Ct) has been reversed, and the Constitutional Fifth Amendment restored.

And, if this nominee, John Roberts, is sqeemish about overturning precedent, which presumably would include the "Kelo" decision, then we need someone else.

All of the states may choose to put in legislation which blocks the action possible under the Kelo decision, and those will be valuable steps, with Alabama being the first state to step up to the plate. Even these, however, are not enough.

We must keep onto this matter until our Constitution has been restored, until the Fifth Amendment abrogation has been overturned completely. If we let up prior to that, this poisonous Kelo decision will slowly percolate through devious paths until it returns to full power some years down the road. That is how precedent works. It kills you tomorrow, not today.

Stay the course. Keep the eyes on the prize.

Bush's Border "Policy" Is Killing You Medically: "Hospital to the World Welcomes Illegal Aliens & Contagious Diseases"

Our colleague, Eleanor, just sent this. It stands on its own and documents the deadliest danger of the Bush Homeland Insecurity Border Policy.

Dr. Cosman offers a newsletter on her website.

Madeleine Cosman -- Hospital to the World Welcomes Illegal Aliens & Contagious Diseases

HOSPITAL TO THE WORLD WELCOMES ILLEGALS & CONTAGIOUS DISEASES

Dr. Madeleine Cosman, Ph.D., ESQ
April 25, 2005
NewsWithViews.com

Illegal aliens cross America’s borders medically unexamined. We shrug. We do not know what Illegal Aliens carry in their backpacks. We do not know what they carry in their bodies.

Long ago we knew what legal immigrants brought with them. When my grandpa came to America, he kissed the ground of New York’s Ellis Island, then he stripped naked and coughed hard. Every legal immigrant before 1924 was examined for infectious diseases upon arrival and tested for tuberculosis. Anyone infected was shipped back to the old country. That was powerful incentive for each newcomer to make heroic efforts to appear healthy.

Today, legal immigrants must demonstrate that they are free of communicable diseases and drug addiction to qualify for lawful permanent residency Green Cards.

But Illegal Aliens stop at no medical checkpoint. Whoever walks through our foolishly open Golden Door comes in healthy or sick. If a border patrol sentry catches a healthy Illegal Alien he might be sent back home immediately. However, if we catch and detain a sick Illegal Alien, who after examination by physicians in a detention center proves to have a serious disease, we keep him! Foolish compassion makes us fear that his home country has neither adequate medical resources nor modern wonder drugs. So we release sick Illegal Aliens to the American streets, to infect others if their diseases are contagious, or we place them in our Medicaid program where we pay for their expensive treatments.

Foolish medical generosity encourages clever Illegal Aliens to exploit free medical care that EMTALA, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, provides.[1] Foolish medical graciousness encourages cynical Illegal Aliens to take and take and take again.[2] Only a foolish guest will refuse what a foolish host offers. Our wide-open Golden Door guarantees that Illegal Aliens in their own self-interest will use and abuse our medical system. Our Golden Door also is propped open thanks to advocacy and legal aid of Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Foundation, National Immigration Law Center, Southern Poverty Law Center, and similar open border groups.[3] America is fast becoming Hospital to the World.

Horrendous diseases that long ago America had conquered are resurging. Horrific diseases common in Third World poverty and medical ignorance suddenly are appearing in American emergency rooms and medical offices. Along with the visible invasion of Illegal Aliens across our borders is an invisible invasion of deadly diseases.[4]

Many illegals who skulk across our borders have tuberculosis (TB). That disease had disappeared from America thanks to excellent hygiene and powerful modern drugs such as Isoniazid and Rifampin.[5] ,[6] ,[7] ,[8] ,[9] ,[10] TB’s swift, deadly return now is lethal for about 60% of those infected. The culprit is the new Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB).[11] Until recently MDR-TB was endemic to Mexico.[12] ,[13]

The mycobacterium tuberculosis is resistant to at least two major TB drugs. Ordinary TB usually is cured in six months with four drugs (that cost about $2000). MDR-TB takes 24 months with many expensive drugs with toxic side effects (that cost around $250,000).[14] ,[15] Each Illegal Alien with MDR-TB coughs and infects numerous people who will not show symptoms immediately. Latent disease explodes later, like a time bomb.

TB was virtually absent in Virginia until in 2002 it spiked a 17% increase, but Prince William County, not far from Washington, D.C., had a meteoric rise of 188%. Public health officials blamed immigrants. Indiana School of Medicine in 2001 studied an outbreak of MDR-TB traced to illegal aliens from Mexico.

The Queens, New York, health department attributed 81% of new TB cases in 2001 to immigrants. The Centers for Disease Control ascribed 42% of all new TB cases to “foreign born” people who have up to eight times higher incidence.[16] ,[17] ,[18] ,[19] ,[20] ,[21] Apparently 66% of all TB cases coming to America originate in Mexico, the Philippines, and Viet Nam.

Virulent TB outbreaks afflicted schoolteachers and children in Michigan,[22] ,[23] and adults and kids in Texas.[24] The teachers and kids caught it at school from coughing children of Illegal Aliens. In Minnesota, policemen suddenly came down with MDR-TB. The cops caught it in their patrol cars when they arrested Illegal Aliens who coughed in their faces. Recently TB erupted in Portland, Maine, and Del Ray Beach, Florida.

Chagas Disease has no known cure. Chagas has the revolting nickname of kissing bug disease. The Reduviid bug has parasites that favor the lips and face for infection. That noxious Trypanosoma-Cruzi protozoan annually infects 18 million people in Latin America and causes 50,000 deaths.[25] ,[26] ,[27] ,[28] ,[29] ,[30] ,[31] This seditious disease also infiltrates America’s blood supply. Chagas affects blood transfusions and transplanted organs. Hundreds of blood recipients may be silently infected.[32] After 10 to 20 years, up to 30% will die when their hearts or intestines, enlarged and weakened by Chagas Disease, burst.[33] Two people died of the three people in 2001 who received Chagas-infected organ transplants.

Leprosy, a scourge in Biblical days and in medieval Europe, so horribly destroys flesh, faces, and fingers it was called Disease of the Soul.[34] Lepers quarantined in leprosaria sounded noisemakers when they ventured out to warn people to stay far away. Leprosy or Hansen’s Disease was so rare in America that in 40 years only 900 people were afflicted.[35] ,[36] ,[37] ,[38] Suddenly, in the past three years America has more than 7,000 cases of leprosy. Leprosy now is endemic to northeastern states. There are leprosy clinics in New York City. Illegal Aliens and other immigrants brought leprosy from India, Brazil, the Caribbean, and Mexico.[39] ,[40] ,[41]

Dengue Fever is exceptionally rare in America though common in Ecuador, Peru, Viet Nam, Thailand, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Mexico.[42] Recently there was a virulent outbreak of Dengue Fever on the Webb County, Texas, border with Mexico.[43] Though Dengue usually is not a fatal disease, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever, is one strain of the disease that routinely kills.

Polio was eradicated from America but now reappears in illegal immigrants.[44] Intestinal parasites were mostly obliterated. Our fine sanitation and microbe-safe food supplies made them disappear. But they are back, in the bodies of Illegal Aliens.[45] ,[46] ,[47] ,[48]

Malaria was obliterated but now is re-emerging in Texas and other states.[49] ,[50] ,[51] ,[52] No mosquito that bites a person infected with malaria checks identification papers before biting another person to transmit debilitating fever.

About 4000 young children under age five annually in America contract the infectious disease called Kawasaki Disease. Youngsters develop fever, red eyes, “strawberry tongue,” and acute inflammation of their coronary arteries and other blood vessels. Many suffer heart attacks and sudden death.[53] ,[54]

Hepatitis A, B, and C are resurging.[55] ,[56] ,[57] ,[58] An outbreak of Hepatitis A in 2003 near Pittsburgh endangered 3000 thanks to infected Mexico-grown scallions and Illegal Alien kitchen workers in a Chi-Chi’s restaurant. Two Americans died. Asians number 4% of Americans but over 50% of Hepatitis B cases. We inoculate all newborns for Hepatitis B although mainly Asians are susceptible.[59] Why? The answer is political judgment not medical judgment.[60]

Deadly Marburg disease, like the fierce hemorrhagic Ebola, right now in April, 2005, is devastating Angola.[61] Physicians in that African country are despairing as hundreds of infected people bleed to death. Just one infected person who could walk through the Golden Door of our Hospital to the World could be a suicide bomber with incendiaries in his arteries, veins, or capillaries.

Terrorists are buying so-called “weapons grade” strains of disease organisms for bio-warfare. America risks devastation by evil intent of a terrorist or by innocent accident of an infected Illegal Alien walking through our foolishly open Golden Door.

Illegal Aliens secret in their bodies invisible, deadly time bombs. Homeland Security ignores these lethal weapons of health destruction.

CAIR-bots versus Erdman's World: Islam's crusade against the West - Oil and Gas - Energy - Opinion

Yesterday, CAIR's Daily Whine emailing contained a section reprinting protests from their Muslim claque to Market Watch about the column reprinted below.

First, read some of the protests reprinted in the Daily Whine:

I was shocked at the level of ignorance and hatred shown in the comments. Is this how we are going to fight terrorism! Remember, we can not win this war against terrorism unless we all work together.-- A. Hadi Khan, Aug. 9, 2005

What a shame to let someone like Mr. Erdman to write in your network about Islam and the Moslems in a divisive way, he is a prime candidate of those who contribute hate out of character flaws or ignorance.-- A. Bamashmus, Aug. 9, 2005

I am truly disappointed by the inflammatory article in the MarketWatch edition. This is exactly what promotes hatred. Rather than helping the situation you are causing to create more problems and issues. I urge you to please re-look at what you publish and see first if it is the truth and if it helps mankind.-- Vaseem Anjum, President & CEO SchoolCity Inc., Aug. 9, 2005

Now read what Paul Erdman actually wrote and compare.

Erdman's World: Islam's crusade against the West - Oil and Gas - Energy - Opinion

Commentary: Jihadists now targeting Saudi Arabia, oil

By Paul Erdman
Last Update: 5:23 PM ET Aug. 8, 2005

HEALDSBURG, Calif.
(MarketWatch) -- The violence being inflicted on the world by Islamic jihadists keeps escalating in terms of frequency and spreading in terms of geography.

It is not just the inhabitants of New York, London or Madrid being targeted.

Now it is the House of Saud, keepers of Islam's most holy cities, Mecca and Medina, which has been added to the list of infidels who have moved to the top of the list of the jihadists.

In recent days both the Americans and British have been forced to close their embassies and consulates in Saudi Arabia due to the seriousness of these threats.

Should the jihadists succeed in overthrowing the government of Saudi Arabia, which has been allied with the United States since the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt, they would seriously undermine the economic stability of a world that now depends upon Saudi oil to a greater degree than ever before.

Danger of ignorance

What should be apparent to all is that we are not dealing with a few thousand religious renegades led by the likes of Osama bin Laden. We are facing the wrath, overt and covert, of a sizable percentage of the Islamic world -- which totals over a billion people. To think of them in terms of some sort of radical Islamic cult, as most of us have been led to do, is to demonstrate ignorance of the Quran, which is to Islam what the Old and New Testaments of the Bible are to Judaism and Christianity.

The Quran explicitly states that one of the prime missions of Islam is the elimination of infidels in a process defined as a jihad, or holy war. As the world is on the verge of perhaps finding out, the definition of "infidel" is not restricted to Jews and Christians but includes Muslims, in this case the House of Saud, who have allied themselves with the West and thus turned their backs on the "true believers" of the world of Islam.

In the United States it has become politically incorrect in intellectual and political circles to even think in terms of a War between Civilizations. Yet that is precisely what we are talking about here.

The Quran is the root source of the escalating Islam terrorism.

Historically, what we are seeing today is nothing new. Due to a total lack of education in these matters -- who of you has studied the history of Islam or even read one paragraph from the Quran? -- most Americans are oblivious of the fact that the military forces of the world of Islam reached the gates of Vienna twice -- in both the early 16th century at the time of the Lutheran Reformation and again as late as1683. Likewise, few Americans are even conscious that Islam occupied Spain for many centuries and that the last refuge of Islamic intellectual thought and exploration at the end of the Middle Ages was not Cairo or Baghdad but Cordoba.

But, finally, where all this is concerned, an educated voice of reason and clarity has emerged in the Anglo-Saxon world, that of British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Faced with an assault on his county from within conducted by British nationals who have joined the rapidly growing ranks of Islamic jihadists, he has told the world that as far as his country is concerned, the rules of the game have changed. Even naturalized British citizens will be deported, mostly to Jordan, if convicted of being party to Islamic terror plots. And serious thought is now being given to charging three leading British Muslim clerics with treason because of their fostering of jihadist thinking in their mosques.

Eye on Britain

In my opinion, we Americans should pay close attention to what Tony Blair and the British do in order to stem this new threat. They have been through this before, then their very national existence was threatened by fascism and the Nazis. They led the day in countering this threat, which, after America belated joined forces with them, led to ultimate victory.

Together we then faced the threat of Soviet-led communism and entered a decades-long period of Cold War that finally led to the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Now we are once again being threatened by forces totally alien to us -- this time, unfortunately, with both religious and racial overtones. As regretful as the presence of these overtones is to those of us who fully espouse civil and religious liberties, they cannot blind us to the reality and sources of the threat.

'Play it safe' How to cope with all this?

"Know thy enemy," we are told, and then keep a very close eye on him. This we appear to be doing with increasing skill, as evidenced by the fact that nothing has happened here since Sept. 11, 2001.

But nothing has changed in regard to our greatest economic vulnerability -- the need to import almost 60% of the oil we must have if our current way of life is to be preserved.

Should the jihad be allowed to succeed in Saudi Arabia, and the outside world be deprived of 14% of its oil supply overnight, the effect on all of us will be stunning and immediate.

As all this gradually sinks in, the price of crude oil and its derivatives is bound to continue to increase, as is general uncertainty regarding the future. These are hardly conditions that allow either stocks or bond market to flourish.

My conclusion: These are times in which the wise investor will simply sit back and play it safe. Capital preservation is the current name of the game.

Paul Erdman has done his homework, and CAIR-bots don't want you to know. This contemporary intellectual heir to Dr. Joseph Goebbels wants to play your ignorance like a Wurlitzer. To the extent any American lets himself or herself remain ignorant about Islam, given the great materials now available, they dhimmi right into the hands of groups like CAIR.

Americans need to read, and we need to beat CAIR and its ilk into plowshares.

Why Tolerate the Hate? - New York Times

We have often been critical of Irshad Manji for her spotlight-coveting, gadflying about, trying to walk in the Muslim camp and the Western society camp at the same time. We have lost trust in her because she seems to want to have Islam (the cake) and Westernism (eating the cake at the same time). She has all the evidence she needs to reject Islam, and all the intelligence anyone could ever want to see Islam for what it is. We do not withdraw any of these objections.

Yet, in today's New York Times, she has one of her better op-ed pieces, and it is one that deserves reading in its entireity. Here are some tidbits from it:

Why Tolerate the Hate?

By IRSHAD MANJI, Toronto, 9 August 2005, New York Times

FOR a European leader, Prime Minister Tony Blair of Britain has done something daring. He has given notice not just to the theocrats of Islam, but also to the theocracy of tolerance.

"Staying here carries with it a duty," Mr. Blair said in referring to foreign-born Muslim clerics who glorify terror on British soil. "That duty is to share and support the values that sustain the British way of life. Those who break that duty and try to incite hatred or engage in violence against our country and its people have no place here."

With that, his government proposed new laws to deport extremist religious leaders, to shut down the mosques that house them and to ban groups with a history of supporting terrorism. The reaction was swift: a prominent human rights advocate described Mr. Blair's measures as "neo-McCarthyite hectoring," warning that they would make the British "less distinguishable from the violent, hateful and unforgiving theocrats, our democracy undermined from within in ways that the suicide bombers could only have dreamed of."

But if these anti-terror measures feel like an overreaction to the London bombings, that's only because Britons, like so many in the West, have been avoiding a vigorous debate about what values are most worth defending in our societies.

As Westerners bow down before multiculturalism, we anesthetize ourselves into believing that anything goes. We see our readiness to accommodate as a strength - even a form of cultural superiority (though few will admit that). Radical Muslims, on the other hand, see our inclusive instincts as a form of corruption that makes us soft and rudderless. They believe the weak deserve to be vanquished.

Paradoxically, then, the more we accommodate to placate, the more their contempt for our "weakness" grows. And ultimate paradox may be that in order to defend our diversity, we'll need to be less tolerant. Or, at the very least, more vigilant. And this vigilance demands more than new antiterror laws. It requires asking: What guiding values can most of us live with? Given the panoply of ideologies and faiths out there, what filter will distill almost everybody's right to free expression?

Let's have that debate - without fear of being deemed self-haters or racists by those who twist multiculturalism into an orthodoxy. We know the dangers of taking Islam literally. By now we should understand the peril of taking tolerance literally.

(Emphases mine)

Irshad Manji is the author of "The Trouble with Islam Today:
A Muslim's Call for Reform in Her Faith."

Just how much better off the entire world would be if Muslims would adopt this approach to differences. How nice it would be to stop regarding a "reasoning Muslim" as an oxymoron.

Got a Craw Full Yet?

No, this is not off theme and message.

Aren't you sick and tired enough of this political correctness to rebel?

This latest q'rap, coming from the National College Athletics Association, ought to promote open disobedience of and complete disregard for the NCAA. The issue? ESPN.com - NCAA - FSU blasts NCAA playoff Indian mascot ban, Friday, August 5, 2005. NCAA American Indian mascot ban will begin Feb. 1.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The NCAA banned the use of American Indian mascots by sports teams during its postseason tournaments, but will not prohibit them otherwise.

The NCAA's executive committee decided this week the organization did not have the authority to bar Indian mascots by individual schools, committee chairman Walter Harrison said Friday.

Nicknames or mascots deemed "hostile or abusive" would not be allowed on team uniforms or other clothing beginning with any NCAA tournament after Feb. 1, said Harrison, the University of Hartford's president.

"What each institution decides to do is really its own business" outside NCAA championship events, Harrison said.

"What we are trying to say is that we find these mascots to be unacceptable for NCAA championship competition," he added.

At least 18 schools have mascots the NCAA deem "hostile or abusive,"
including Florida State's Seminoles and Illinois' Illini. The full list of
schools was not immediately released.

The tail--composed of people unworthy of any consideration--wags us, the national dog. This latest, the NCAA absurdity, competes to become known as the crown jewel of postmodernism, that philosophical mishmash that started this political correctness phenomena.

As a Florida Gator, I am seldom willing to cut Florida State University slack. Over this issue, though, I rally in support of FSU teams calling themselves "Seminoles." Also, I rally in support of all the other schools similarly q'rapped on.

To see the absurdity, dwell on what the NCAA says about American Indian mascot names: "Nicknames or mascots deemed "hostile or abusive"." Unleash a little logic here--just a little because it takes very little. Do you think there is even one college sports team that uses an American Indian mascot name because they want to reflect weakness? Are there any teams out there who call themselves "weenies, condoms, inepts, cowards, suppositories, and so on?" Did FSU elect to call themselves the FSU "Fools"?

So, why did they choose to call themselves "Seminoles"?

This ain't brain surgery, folks. FSU is a Florida team, and the Seminole Indians are the single best known American Indian tribe in Florida as well as in America. They have been ferocious foes in the past, and they now represent a venerable part of Florida and American culture. When the FSU mascot (Chief Osceola) rides out bareback and throws the flaming spear into the football turf before the game, he is not announcing that he is from the U.N. and that fans are about to watch diplomatic masturbation for the next 3 and half hours.

Let's go one further. The Seminole Indians in south Florida take great pride in their name being used by Florida State University. Far enough away to have been spared that special brand of modern education which takes a normal human and graduates a worthless rag, the Seminoles GET the connection. FSU's record on the football field reflects that strength, and too often on us Gators.

Florida State President T.K. Wetherell blasted the NCAA and threatened legal action on Friday, the Tampa Tribune reported.

"Florida State University is stunned at the complete lack of appreciation for cultural diversity shown by the National Collegiate Athletic Association's executive committee. ... That the NCAA would now label our close bond with the Seminole Tribe of Florida as culturally 'hostile and abusive' is both outrageous and insulting," Wetherell said Friday in a statement.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida passed a resolution in June supporting the school's use of the nickname and tribal images. Seminole tribes in other states have disagreed with the Florida group.

"I intend to pursue all legal avenues to ensure that this unacceptable decision is
overturned, and that this university will forever be associated with the 'unconquered' spirit of the Seminole Tribe of Florida," Wetherell said.

The FSU official response, however, will not likely succeed. It's too "civilized." Yes, FSU officials have the correct understanding, but their taking a United Nations type of approach will likely get them a United Nations type of result.

This is time to overhaul the NCAA by overt rebellion. FSU and other schools with Indian mascot names should refuse to comply with this NCAA dictum, and be prepared for the uproar. They can win very easily. Is the NCAA likely to hold to its absurd and illogical position in the face of rebellion from its member schools? Would these white shirts dare to risk complete disintegration of the NCAA? I think not.

Such rebellion would be good for the schools and the teams, and it would be a real tonic for American culture. It can spell the beginning of the end of political correctness which has replaced the spines and egos of so many people in America. Standing up to all of these "sensitives" will toughen them up, and they will be better for it. But, whether they are better for it or not, who cares, really? WE will be better off for it.

Maybe, then, we can stop fighting the war inside Iraq and this "war on terrorism" utterly handicapped by political correctness. Let's stamp out political correctness, wherever it can be found, and replace it with logic and spine.

The Real Target

Folks,

Ralph Peters, a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army, has previously published a collection of insightful essays called "Beyond Terror."

Yesterday, he published this piece. While it addresses the same issue--morale--that I blogged recently, his is far more complete, and carries a great deal more authority than anything I can say does.

Here it is:

New York Post
August 4, 2005

The Real Target

By Ralph Peters

In Iraq yesterday a roadside bomb killed 14 Marines. Two days earlier, six Marines from the same outfit were ambushed and killed. Yet those Marines were not the terrorists' primary target.

You were.

Our enemies know the Marines won't quit. But they hope you will.

The terrorists realize now that they can't defeat our military. Instead, they hope to achieve what the North Vietnamese did: To blur the reality on the ground and convince the American public that we're losing.

Those Marines were tactical targets of opportunity. You're the strategic target. The terrorists hope that our media will create an atmosphere of failure - and that you'll give in to a sense of defeat.

The Marines are looking for a few good men (and women). The terrorists are looking for headlines.

The Marines who died on the Euphrates River battleground were closing down crucial smuggling routes from Syria. Recent operations have made life ever more difficult for the terrorists. Our enemies are fighting fiercely because they're cornered.

They certainly want to kill Marines. But that doesn't require video cameras. The rush to document and publicize their occasional successes makes it clear that the terrorists are fighting, above all, a media campaign. It's their only hope.

That's no comfort to the families of the Marines we lost, of course. And the fact that 20 fatalities within three days came from the same Ohio-based reserve unit, the 3rd Battalion of the 25th Marines, magnifies the pain.

But the unit's losses reflect the importance of its mission.

The terrorists want to hit that battalion as hard as they can, to break the unit's morale and gain some breathing space. They've been doing what any thinking enemy would do - concentrating their resources on a decisive point. They probably studied the forces tightening the noose around them and decided that hitting a reserve unit offered the best chance of success.

They don't know the Marines.

Our troops will keep the pressure on even as they mourn. The Marines have faced far tougher enemies - not least the suicidal Japanese, another enemy who showed no mercy (and beheaded prisoners, as well).

The difference is that the extremists in Iraq don't expect a battlefield victory. They're fighting for time. They hope to wear us down, to maintain a level of photogenic chaos in just enough of Iraq to keep the media hot. They'll keep chipping away at our forces, praying that our will will prove far weaker than our weapons.

They don't expect to force out our military through violence. They hope our political leaders will withdraw our troops. The terrorists have done their homework. They know that a disheartening number of our politicians share one of their beliefs: a low opinion of the American people, a notion that we're weak, that we're quitters.

The terrorists know that our Marines aren't afraid of them. But they believe that our politicians are terrified. Of you.

So you're the target of every bomb, bullet and blade our enemies wield. Those Marines were killed to discourage you. They were targeted to ignite political discord in the USA. They died to give ammunition to those in Washington who view our dead only as political liabilities.

There are many practical military issues the administration hasn't addressed. Our forces in Iraq have always have been too few. Much of the equipment with which our Marines and soldiers are equipped is old, inappropriate and inadequate. We went to war with a military designed by defense contractors, not by warriors.

But while those issues are real, we can't afford to play politics with the vital global struggle of our times, the battle with the psychotic strain of Islam that generates terror. Ultimately, the fate of Iraq won't be decided by our enemies. And it won't be decided by our troops. It's going to be decided by you. By your voice and your vote.

The terrorists mean to help you make your decision.

Ralph Peters' latest book, "New Glory: Expanding America's Global Supremacy," will be published this month.

Another Radiologic Weapon Report

It is apparent that more and more people have serious concerns about this. Well, if it happens, and I'm a survivor, it will result in a change in my life purpose.

Dirty Bomb Doomsday
By Rocco DiPippo

In September of 1987 a Brazilian scrap yard worker in the town of Goiaina pried open a canister that had been dumped in the junk yard he worked in. Inside the container was a mesmerizing, sparkling, blue powder. Soon the residents of Goiaina who lived near the yard caught wind of the worker’s mysterious discovery. The canister began making its way from block to block, house to house. Residents touched the blue powder, ran it through their fingers and marveled at its phosphorescence. A six year old child played with it and rubbed it into her hair. It made her hair glow.

What none of Goiaina’s residents knew at the time was that the beautiful blue dust they were passing around; that sparkling azure powder that made a young girl’s hair glow, was deadly radioactive Cesium.

The canister containing the Cesium had been looted from an abandoned nearby cancer treatment facility. Within a few days four people, including the child whose hair had glowed, were dead. Within weeks the Brazilian authorities demolished 85 contaminated homes in order to contain the radiation that had been unleashed by the deadly curiosity of Goiaina’s residents.

If a similar amount of Cesium fell into the hands of modern terrorists, was fashioned into a so-called “dirty” bomb and detonated in a major Western city, the event would make the incident in Goiaina pale in comparison.

A dirty bomb is relatively easy to construct. It is made by packing low-grade radioactive material around a conventional explosive charge. When the charge is detonated, the radioactive material packed in and around it pulverizes into dust and spreads through the air. Anything this dust contacts becomes radioactively contaminated.

People in the immediate area of a detonating dirty bomb would likely be killed or injured by the conventional explosion itself and not by exposure to radiation, though exposure to the radioactive dust in high enough concentrations could also cause death. More likely, the radioactivity released by a dirty bomb would cause an increase in cancer rates among those who survived the conventional explosion but came into contact with the radioactive dust.

Though the cleanup of a dirty bomb attack would be time consuming and expensive and the damage inflicted by one more economic than physical, the most devastating effect on a society in which one is detonated is likely to be psychological.

The words “nuclear” and “radioactivity” elicit strong negative reactions from most people even when mentioned in a benign context. Thoughts of invisible particles wafting through the air emitting radiation and silently wrecking the ability of human cells to properly replicate rightly terrify Americans. It is for this reason that the dirty bomb is a dream weapon for terrorists-it has the ability to cause maximum psychological terror for a small investment in time and materials. It is also in keeping with what, so far, has been the Islamist’s affinity for parlaying the use of low-tech objects and devices into maximum psychological terror.

This week, journalist Joseph Farah sparked intense discussion by asserting that not only had Islamist terrorists procured conventional nuclear weapons in the form of so-called suitcase bombs, they were close to detonating them in major U.S. cities. Echoing earlier similar assertions by writer Paul Williams, Farah laid out a scenario describing the inevitability of a conventional nuclear attack on the U.S. using such bombs. Though Farah’s scenario is possible, there are many daunting technical difficulties involved in procuring viable suitcase bombs, maintaining them, and preparing them for use. The nature of these difficulties makes great the possibility that terrorists planning a suitcase bomb attack will be discovered before they can carry it out.

A conventional nuclear weapon is a highly complex, tight-tolerance piece of machinery. It is nearly impossible to build one without highly specialized facilities, a quantity of fissionable material (which is almost impossible to procure), and an impressive knowledge of physics coupled with prodigious engineering skills. It is an extremely dangerous process to manufacture and assemble one.

On the other hand, constructing a dirty bomb is relatively simple. Any radioactive material ground up to maximize its dispersion will do, and a crude explosive charge is sufficient to disperse that material. The maker need only shield himself from an overdose of radiation and avoid blowing himself up while preparing the explosive charge.

Simply put, radium from an obsolete watch-dial duct-taped to a hand grenade makes a crude (though not very effective) “dirty” bomb.

In the U.S., more than 2 million radioactive sources are possessed by 157,000 licensed users. Approximately 400 of these sources are lost or stolen every year. The situation is far worse in the former Soviet Union, where large quantities of radioactive material routinely slip past the Russian government.

It is reasonable to assume that some of this material has ended up in the hands of Islamists, who have a long history of attempting to procure it.

There is only one reason for them wanting to possess it. And it is a reason they hope will frighten us into both appeasing them and accepting their murderous agenda.

WMAL's Continuing Descent into Dhimmitude (Updated)

Yesterday, we addressed, on this blog, CAIR's fresh attacks on WMAL radio in Washington, DC. CAIR protested Geoff Metcalf's on-air remarks about Islamic deception practices. Mr. Metcalf, by the way, is replacing Michael Graham. We also published material extensively exposing deceptive practices which are a integral to Islam and your blood is to your body--once again putting the lie to anything CAIR does.

We are spending so much time and effort on the WMAL issue because what is involved in this assault by CAIR has devastating ramifications for all of talk radio and ultimately, the abrogation of the First Amendment to our Constitution. We knew that many details about internal dhimmitudinous behavior at WMAL would come out, and that is happening. We recently published an article looking at this event and its long term meaning, American Dhimmitude: Graham and Tancredo vs the Dhimmi Makers and the Dhimmis Made. We have also published much on the WMAL saga on this blog from late July 2005 to the present. We will continue to deal with this issue as long as these fundamental threats to our country remain.

This date, Steven Salinsky published information about internal dhimmitude at WMAL, on Front Page Magazine. Here is an excerpt:

FrontPage magazine.com :: CAIR Silences Its Critics by Steven Stalinsky , August 4, 2005

[Re:] July 25 interview between CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper and a sympathetic Chris Core, who hosts a radio show on the same station as Mr. Graham. Mr. Hooper was brought on the air to discuss statements Mr. Graham made and used the opportunity to further CAIR’s ongoing unofficial Da’wa campaign of Islamic missionary activity to teach Americans about Islam and to influence them to convert.

During the interview, Core asked Hooper to address Western criticism of the Koran’s commandments for Muslims to kill infidels. Mr. Hooper said “that was nonsense,” explaining that while there are such verses; they only refer to military campaigns during the time of Mohammed. [Ed. note: Does this mean that Muhammad is still alive since all of Islamia RIGHT NOW is aflame with JIHAD? ] This does not jibe with the views and teachings of leading Islamist scholars throughout the world.

The program got interesting when Core asked Hooper to explain the concept of jihad. He said, “Jihad is a respected concept in Islam. Jihad does not mean flying planes into buildings. It does not mean blowing up subway...I just read a Tradition of the Prophet, it's called a hadith...It said, ‘the best jihad is to speak a word of truth to an oppressive ruler’...Jihad in its military sense means a Muslim nation having a standing army, people in uniforms there to defend the borders, to prevent invasions, to do anything any normal army does, for any nation. That's what a real jihad is. It has to be called by a legitimate government...It's like having the U.S. army only it’s in the Muslim context.” [Ed. Note: Did Chris Core buy the bridge at this point? ]

Hooper complained that jihad is only reported on when it is referred to as “holy war,” which has been “misused by people on both sides of the spectrum.” The way in which Hooper and CAIR define jihad to Americans is misleading. According to the Islamic Affairs Department of Saudi Arabia's embassy in Washington, D.C., one definition of jihad is the following: “The Muslims are required to raise the banner of Jihad in order to make the Word of Allah supreme in this world, to remove all forms of injustice and oppression, and to defend the Muslims. If Muslims do not take up the sword, the evil tyrants of this earth will be able to continue oppressing the weak and [the] helpless.” Muslims are now taking up the sword; where is CAIR’s outrage?

(Emphases mine)

"Come, tell me anything, and I will believe." There is nothing more dangerous than ignorance combined with intense lack of curiosity along with a willingness to believe whatever you are told. Mr. Core at WMAL represents the dhimmi faction at WMAL quite well. Mr. Hooper represents, well, you know.

[Ed. note: ANTIDOTE TIME, ANTIDOTE TIME. COME GET YOUR ANTIDOTE!

Demoralization as a Primary Weapon

Folks,

Another Marine from the same unit that has suffered so many losses in the past few days has been shot dead.

I'm not in the military, so my perspective from that source is limited at best. BUT. If I were a terrorist, I would ask myself, "What would be the psychological effect of the destruction of all, or at least a very large part of, a single unit of some kind?"

The answer, of course, is that it would be very demoralizing, and demoralization is their biggest, baddest weapon. Our own "psy-ops"--you know, loud, obnoxious music, leaflets, panties on heads, nearby presences of the hated dog--pale in comparison with the effect of the destruction of an entire unit. Oh, I'm sure we do more than that (at least I hope so), but you get my drift.

If I had to guess, though, I would say that the ongoing attacks on Regimental Combat Team 2 of the IInd Marine Expeditionary Force, a reserve unit from Cleveland, Ohio, may well be more than just ordinary combat.

If I had to guess, I would say that somewhere in the terrorist hierarchy, someone was thinking, "If we can kill all or most of an entire unit, their families would probably demand that we pull out of Iraq."

And, in fact, that seems to be happening in Cleveland.

Maybe the terrorists will be able to kill more, maybe not--but if this is their plan, we can count on seeing more attempts along those lines. The terrorists obviously can't take us on using the traditional methods of warfare, so they "develop" weapons such as this.

Virtually everything they do is aimed at demoralization, a favorite strategy of their Perfect Man, Mohammad. It is a weapon that gives the greatest bang for the buck, and besides, there are a lot of Muslims who regard implementing it as a fun sport.

What does it take for our President to get rid of the likes of advisor Grover Norquist (and his Muslim bride, according to Paul Sperry), find out just a little, teensy, weensy bit of the awful truth about Islam and "get real"?

Our country's survival is at stake, and I, for one, refuse to sacrifice it on the altar of some misplaced respect for Islam.

Islam delenda est.

I Am So Angry...

When any of our military personnel die and get injured in Iraq and Afghanistan, predominantly the former, I have a blue funk. When over two score Marines die within 24 hours in that piece of q'rap named Iraq, I almost go crazy. Then I get so mad, I could eat beer bottles whole and wash 'em down with sulfuric acid (assuming my body could endure such torture, which it could not--just expressing myself).

When our men and women die in wholesale lots, I never blame them. I don't even blame their direct military commanders. I blame the assholes in the Pentagon, the State Department, and above all, in the White House.

I can lay my finger on Bush with greater clarity than those nameless, faceless, and worthless suits in the Pentagon and State Department, so I intend herein to let fly on President Bush.

1. These killers of our military personnel, we are told, are from somewhere else, other than Iraq. Where, we ask? Why, from Saudi Arabia, Syria, Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula, and North Africa. Others come from Iran.

2. Why are they in Iraq? They came solely to kill Americans, coalition troops, and keep democracy from happening in Iraq.

3. How are they getting into Iraq? They are coming over the borders, in mega droves. Most stage and train in Syria, except for the hoardes flooding in from Iran. However, because of its extremely strong ties with Syria and the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, Iran tends to go through Syria as well, even though they are Shia Muslims.

At this point, I can stand no more analysis of the obvious. I need to ask the President who has gone to Crawford, Texas, to "vacation" (I do not believe that a President of the United States of America ever rests or vacations while in office) a few whys. I see parallels. I see wetbacks and nefarious types flooding through the porous border with Mexico, and I see a President apparently indifferent to the whole matter. Then I see porous borders in Iraq with Syria, Saudi Arabia, and Iran, and a President who seems equally indifferent to these borders. Thus, I see CONUS (continental United States) Americans suffering his indifference from the ravages of the flood from south of the border. In Iraq, I see our military personnel chewed up to no useful purpose in Iraq because Islamic garbage floods over the borders intent on destroying very valuable Americans, and they do, over and over and over and over...

Were we to make an example to Islamia of Syria by removing it from participating in human history for several thousands of years, and were we to advertise that we were making an example of it to all the Muslims, we would start to put a stop to the cattle slaughtering of our precious fighting men and women.

Since Muslims are really slow on the uptake, we would next take out all the Wahhabi training and "holy" sites in Saudi Arabia. No, I am not saying bomb Mecca and Medina, no matter how tempting that thought is. We save that when those Muslims and their countries that just won't learn from experience do their next 9-11.

I still think launching Israeli aircraft from our aircraft carriers in the Persian Gulf to target anything at will in Iran is an utterly delicious idea. I only wish we could include the UN in the same sortie, but the UN is out of range.

Within Iraq, we either kill or be killed. So, let's kill. Nothing in Iraq should be off limits to total destruction by us. For every incident of car bombings and the like, we take out cities and villages, and not just in Iraq. We just might get their attention because they would see us taking ourselves seriously.

As for the Iraqi constitution, to hell with what they want. They want Islam and that goddammed sharia. Let's make them take what we want them to have and forbid sharia. If they want to revert to that primitive crap after we are gone, they can live with the consequences.

We have been too nice, too understanding, and too politically correct. We have lost over 1800 American military personnel permanently and have many fold more maimed for life. What for? So some goddammed Muslims can vote themselves into Islamic sharia while shish-ka-bobbing our invaluable military personnel? So that human vermin can cross borders with impunity, and some cloaca of a country like Syria can stick its filthy finger in our eye while our President acts like we are winning while ignoring the facts?

I will say this. If those Iraqi Muslims vote themselves into a sharia constitution, and if the spineless subhumans in the State Department and White House acquiesce, then we have lost big time. Get the hell out of Iraq then ASAP! But realize, in the Islamic mind, we will have lost again. In reality, we will have lost in fact. The Muslims will be emboldened, and they will flood over the southern border which Mr. Bush seems unaware of.

We will be out of Iraq, but we will be in the hottest of water. We will have multiple 9-11s. The only good thing is that our military people will be home and not be defending people not worth the effort.

We will have to fight and win on our homeland. We could have won over there, but our politicos had neither the vision nor the balls to do it. History will lay the blood at their feet.

Update: Take Back the Memorial

Folks,

Many of you are already aware and active in the "Take Back the Memorial" effort. This is an update I received today, and for those of you who may not have heard about it yet, it might be of interest.

If you are not familiar with the problem, please visit the website at www.takebackthememorial.org . What the George Soros et al. crowd is trying to do under the name of "The International Freedom Center" on the site where nearly 3000 were killed on 9/11 is revolting. It is classic George Soros anti-American vituperation.

This is an update only, so if this is the first you've heard about the problem, the website will give you a good picture of the original problem that started it all.

As you see, there is a petition being circulated to sign; please look it over and then, if you agree with the objections the Take Back the Memorial organization have to the placement of the so-called "International Freedom Center" on the site, please sign it.

*

WE'RE MAKING PROGRESS!

*Every day more and more people sign our petition and the "big money"
special interests behind the International Freedom Center are running
scared! The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation announced that
they are "taking one last look around" for alternative sites for the
IFC and the Drawing Center.

While this is likely a delaying tactic, make no mistake: that "one
last look around" must continue until it results in the removal of
the IFC and the Drawing Center from Ground Zero. We do not view this
decision as "one last look around" - we view this as the last chance
for the IFC and the Drawing Center to find a home. These magnets for
controversy cannot remain there and we will not rest until they are
removed.

NY TIMES CALLS TAKE BACK THE MEMORIAL & SUPPORTERS "UN-AMERICAN"

A Sense of Proportion at Ground Zero
{http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/29/opinion/29fri3.html}
Editorial Published: July 29, 2005 in the New York Times

Somewhere in the ill-conceived campaign to "take back the memorial"
at ground zero, false impressions have managed to triumph over facts.
This week, Debra Burlingame, a board member of the World Trade Center
Memorial Foundation, and others called for a boycott of fund-raising
for the memorial until the International Freedom Center and the
Drawing Center have been banished from ground zero. She argues that
money for the memorial will be intermingled with funds for the
cultural building that is supposed to house the Freedom Center and
the Drawing Center. This is both misleading and harmful to the
memorial itself. The World Trade Center Memorial Foundation has
pledged that its first priority is to build the memorial and create
an endowment for it. Private donors are free to specify how they
choose to have their money spent.

The attacks on the International Freedom Center - and, more broadly,
on the cultural component of Daniel Libeskind's master plan - make it
all too easy to forget the existence of a Memorial Museum that is
devoted wholly to the events of 9/11. Opponents of the Freedom
Center, like Ms. Burlingame, claim that the Memorial Museum will be
dwarfed by the cultural center. In fact, they overstate the size of
the Snohetta building, which is being scaled back for other reasons,
and they have exaggerated the floor space allotted there for the
International Freedom Center. They also make it sound as if the
Memorial Museum, which at 50,000 square feet is larger than the
public spaces in the Whitney Museum, is somehow an afterthought
relegated to the basement. It will be built underground, but that is
because the 9/11 families asked to have access to the bedrock and to
what remains of the foundation of the twin towers. To argue over the
size of these two spaces is to assume that emotional power is solely
the result of square footage. It is also to forget the profound
effect that going to the roots of the World Trade Center will have on
most visitors.

But this is not really a campaign about money or space. It is a
campaign about political purity - about how people remember 9/11 and
about how we choose to read its aftermath, including the Iraq war. On
their Web site, www.takebackthememorial.org
{http://www.takebackthememorial.org}, critics of the cultural plan at
ground zero offer a resolution called Campaign America. It says that
ground zero must contain no facilities "that house controversial
debate, dialogue, artistic impressions, or exhibits referring to
extraneous historical events." This, to us, sounds un-American.

This unsigned editorial is actually by Gail Collins, the Editorial
Board Editor for the New York Times. Not only does the Times smear us
and YOU as "un-American" for demanding the 9/11 memorial remain about
9/11, they attack Debra Burlingame, conveniently forgetting to
mention she is a 9/11 family member.

In response, A. Forkum of Cox & Forkum Editorial
{http://www.coxandforkum.com/archives/000634.html} cartoons writes:

/They give themselves some wiggly room ("sounds to us"), but their
point is clear: the NYT considers it "un-American" to oppose building
a come-one-come-all political venue at the Ground Zero memorial. They
continue blowing a "free speech" smoke screen to obscure the
controversy: public funds are to be used to build a permanent
institution at Ground Zero dedicated to airing political discourse,
some of which will no doubt be sympathetic to the terrorists who
murderer thousands there. Why else would the NYT be so concerned
about "how people remember 9/11 and about how we choose to read its
aftermath, including the Iraq war"? Is the NYT afraid that a memorial
site dedicated solely to 9/11 will lead visitors to "politically
incorrect" conclusions?

/ Please take a moment of your day to write a response of your own to
their shameful editorial. Make sure to CC 911@takebackthememorial.org
{mailto:911@takebackthememorial.org} and we will publish your letter
{http://takebackthememorial.org/?page_id=127}, even if the Times does
not.

CAIR Attacks WMAL Anew--Time to Reinvigorate the Fighting Back, Part II

As we have examined in our recent article on American Dhimmitude on our website, CAIR and similar groups seek to shut down the First Amendment AND create dhimmitude in Americans wherever they can. This assault first on Michael Graham and now Geoff Metcalf of WMAL, 630 AM, in Washington, DC, is simply part of the covert jihad strategy. This is big league stuff going on, and we must stop it before it causes the semi-dhimmis, public and private, to turn over America to Islam, at our expense (us being Americans).

The latest assault from CAIR concerns their Big Lie technique to scare off the timid from learning that Mr. Metcalf spoke the truth about Islamic deception and, above all, to shut up any opposition to Islam.

It is time to represent a couple of articles from our past about Islamic deception practices. They are real and omnipresent, and they are one of the biggest reasons why Muslims cannot be trusted--you never know who is telling the truth, or not.

And, yes, it is time to fire up the boilers and let off a head of steam at WMAL, ABC, the Walt Dhimmi Company, and those advertisers so conveniently provided by CAIR.

==========

Islam Practices to Deceive

(George Mason)

Islam kills Muslims off in the worst possible way, by destroying their humanity at the earliest possible age in life. From my perspective, their lives are living hells.

Consider one double bind Islam forces them into. On the one hand, they are supposed to have allegiance only to Islam and the ummah, which is the world community of Muslims, and they are supposed to be strict practitioners of Islam. Both make them detestable as human beings. Some rebel, usually only partially against Islam. They want to live and let live, and to enjoy life on this earth. By not being totally consistently orthodox, they become “bad Muslims," by Islamic criteria.

Suppose these "bad Muslims" (by Islamic criteria) express their desires to join the Family of Man instead of killing and conquering the Family of Man? Who among the non-Islamic Family of Man dares trust them?

From where comes this distrust? It comes from Islam itself, which has built into itself all sorts of ways to trap Muslims permanently into its morass. “Good Muslims”--who are “bad guys” to us because they are consistent practitioners of Islam and want to destroy use--use all sorts of official Islamic techniques to fool us into believing that they seek congeniality in order to share life on earth. All the while, these bad guys are fooling us, trying to take us off guard, so they can kill and destroy us.

A Muslim with truly humane intentions also endures distrust engendered by the deceivers ("good Muslims"). These Muslims can’t win, inside Islam or out. Islam makes them universal pariahs. The best course for them is to renounce Islam completely and follow up public renunciation with consistently benevolent behavior over a very long time, but those lining up to join the Family of Man make a very short line.

Despite our best vigilance, we may still be fooled by some Muslims, who pretend to renounce Islam as part of their program of deceit. Some become long term “sleepers.”It is worth exposing the tactics of deception practiced by Islam, as we find them. I am indebted to Counter Intelligence, Counter Espionage, and Counter Terrorism (http://www.ci-ce-ct.com/Feature%20articles/02-12-2002.asp), for the following excellent material, in

“Taqiyya and kitman: The role of Deception in Islamic
terrorism.”

“Tradecraft. Persona. Deception. Disinformation. Cover: Western operational terms and techniques. But, Islamic terrorists have their own terms: taqiyya (pronounced tark-e-ya): precautionary dissimulation or deception and keeping one's convictions secret and a synonymous term, kitman: mental reservation and dissimulation or concealment ofmalevolent intentions...

“Taqiyya and kitman or ‘holy hypocrisy’ has been diffused throughout Arabic culture for over fourteen hundred years since it was developed by Shiites as a means of defence and concealment of beliefs against Sunni unbelievers. As the Prophet said: "he who keeps secrets shall soon attain his objectives.’

"The skilful use of taqiyya and kitman was often a matter of life and death against enemies; it is also a matter of life and death to many contemporary Islamic terrorists. As so often in the history of Islam, a theological doctrine became operational.“During the Spanish inquisition, Sunni Moriscos attended mass and returned home to wash their hands of the ‘holy water’. In operational terms, taqiyya and kitman allowed the ‘mujahadeen ’ to assume whatever identity was necessary to fulfill their mission; they had doctrinal and theological and later jurisprudential sanction to pretend to be Jews or Christians to gain access to Christian and Jewish targets: ‘the mujahadeen can take the shape of the enemy’.

Taqiyya is common to both Shiite and Sunni Muslim discourse and has significant implications for understanding Islamic fundamentalism and terrorist operations. The theory and practice of counter terrorism would be counter productive, indeed pointless, and even harmful, without reference to taqiyya and kitman and the crucial role of deception ranging from Islamic jurisprudence to Al Qaeda training manuals, which carry detailed instructions on the use of deception by terrorists in Western target countries.

“According to Christian ethics lying is a sin; In Islamic jurisprudence and theology, the use of taqiyya against the unbelievers is regarded as a virtue and a religious duty.

“Like many Islamic concepts taqiyya and kitman were formed within the context of the Arab-Islamic matrix of tribalism, expansionary warfare and conflict. Taqiyya has been used by Muslims since the 7th century to confuse and split 'the enemy’. A favored tactic was ‘deceptive triangulation’; to persuade the enemy that jihad was not aimed at them but at another enemy. Another tactic was to deny that there was jihad at all. The fate for such faulty assessments by the target was death.”

We must never forget, as we expose the truth about Islam, that many of their best theorists and practitioners lived in, and still live in, Iran. Iran is Shia Islam territory. Shiites broke off from Sunnis about 900 A.D. and the two factions have been in competition since. While there are differences between Sunni and Shia Islam, they are trifles. At the level of basic principles and practices, they are the same.

The best modern theorist of Iranian Islam has been that “fun-loving,” Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. He deposed the Shah of Iran to set up an Islamic theocratic totalitarian state in Iran. With his approval, USA embassy personnel were taken hostage in 1979. He popularized the saying that America is the “Great Satan.” He also issued a fatwa, a religious edict, calling for the death of Muslim author, Salman Rushdie, because he wrote a novel about Muhammad’s alleged encounter with Satan (which the Qur'an itself describes, but from which Rushdie cannot describe even approvingly). And he turned Islamic jihadic terrorism into a formal, BIG business, funded by Iranian oil.

Far too few these days, writing about Islam, note or quote Khomeini. In fact, Iran as the West's foreign enemy number one, seems to be “under-the-radar” far too much. One Iranian author has written telling books about Khomeini and his Iran. Amir Taheri, an Iranian journalist, has has written about Khomeini’s decades-long struggle to seize power over Iran as a stepping stone to seizing power over the world. He poins out how Khomeini practiced deceptive techniques masterfully.

In addition to taqiyyah and kitman, Khomeini employed:

Khod’eh, “which means tricking one’s enemy into a misjudgement of one’s true position. Khomeini did not tell direct lies but used many half-truths based on well-established khod’eh tactics.” One of his many pledges was for female equality in Iran, which he qualified with phrases such as “in accordance with Islam.”

Tanfih, “which means misleading everyone about one’s true beliefs in a hostile environment.” These are the promises, such as UN nuclear regulatory compliance, made these days.

(From Amir Taheri, The Spirit of Allah: Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution, Adler and Adler, ISBN: 0-917561-04-X, 1985. Unfortunately, this book is out-of-print.)

The Qur'an and other Islamic documents sanction Muslim deception against infidels (non-Muslims). Our take home lesson should be obvious: Believe nothing Islamists say or state in any form. Particularly, never believe any promise from them.

Whatever they say or do may serve to you in, so that you will drop your guard: Many of Muhammad’s targets were murdered in just this way.

Dedicated Islamists are true “shape-shifters,” a la Star Trek. They use these strategies and tactics on us continuously. Be vigilant always.

What Is Kitman?

(Eleanor)

Long before Freud and Jung, Muslims understood and engaged in "psy ops," military psychological operations that were developed and are being used to confuse, confound, and overcome the enemy. Kitman are psychological strategies that have been in play for centuries. You will recognize some of these as they are applied to contemporary events: the Palestinian conflict, the war on "terrorism," the women's rights movement, multiculturalism and tolerance and so on.

I would remind all of the kitman, strategies of misdirection that Muslims have perfected over the centuries.

Kitman Strategies:

1. Outwitting by 'diversion of the subject and obfuscation aided at times with a mystical reference to God or Allah.'

2. Role playing as victims: claiming to 'the victim of religious discrimination and intolerance during debate or discussion.'

3. Manipulating ambiguity - condemning in ambiguous terms and praising Muslims that engage in suicide and 'martyr' operations. However rarely will condemnation of a specific act occur and direct questions will be skillfully evaded.

4. Diversion - casual irrelevant counter references to how some Muslim group or Islamic principe is being trampled -- example the poor Palestinians are "at the mercy of US foreign policy and the U.S. is to blame for supporting Israel, thus causing terrorism."

5. Demanding 'evidence' - a type of 'cognitive denial' by repetitive and extreme requests for 'evidence' and 'proof'. In cases of national security, such 'evidence' can not be revealed. When revealed, the 'evidence' is deemed bogus or not relevant.

6. Tactical denial - rather than admitting that a proposition concerning a state of affairs can be partly true, a denial will be made in absolute terms. 'It is impossible to be a Muslim and a terrorists,' which is false and 'Islam forbids suicide', which is true, but irrelevant to the discussion as suicide or martyrdom attacks are not forbidden in the Koran.

7. Exploiting cognitive dissonance - attempts to baffle interviewers and the audience as they resort to double talk, 'cliches and platitudes' concerning Islam. A state of cognitive dissonance exists when holding two contradictory beliefs while attempting to resolve them. An example - confusion occurs when attempting to process both the claim that Islam is a 'peaceful religion' and the dissonant facts of the horrific Islamic terrorists acts and operations.

8. The Islamic 'Defense' Script - Muslim spokespersons the world over repeat the same scripted platitudes such as 'Islam is tolerant and peace loving', 'the veil offers Muslim women more freedom than those in the West', precluding further examination of jihad or the real status of women in Islam.

'Islam has been hijacked', a 'small group of fundamentalists have hijacked a great religion,' a 'tiny minority' are engaged in terrorism' are examples of platitudes or misconceptions repeated by the uncritical media and Western politicians.

Don't be taken in. Read the rest to learn about kitman and its companion taqiyya.

Now, just what was it that CAIR objected to Mr. Geoff Metcalf saying about Islamic deception?

CAIR Attacks WMAL Anew--Time to Reinvigorate the Fighting Back, Part I

The Daily Whine from CAIR just rolled in. Now CAIR is after Michael Graham's replacement. This whine-o-gram from CAIR has a very long string of WMAL advertisers that CAIR-puppets are supposed to harrass. Because of the length of this "CAIR Action Alert," we will ask you to join us for the continuation as Part II.

CAIR ACTION ALERT #464

DC RADIO HOST CLAIMS QURAN TEACHES MUSLIMS TO LIE

Ask WMAL to address incitement of anti-Islam hate by talk show hosts

(WASHINGTON, D.C., 8/3/05) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today called on a Washington, D.C., radio station to address the incitement of anti-Muslim hatred caused by its talk show hosts. CAIR issued that call after a replacement for a talk show host suspended for anti-Islam remarks made similarly Islamophobic comments.

On Friday, July 29, WMAL-AM replacement host Geoff Metcalf stated: "And by the way, let me just add a sidebar here that's significant, and everybody forgets this, but according to the Quran, believers in Islam are not required to tell infidels, and that's us, the truth. So they apparently have permission to lie when it is appropriate." Most callers to the program expressed similar hostility to Muslims and to the faith of Islam.

Listen to the quote at:
http://www.cairfl.org/audio/050729wmal-Metcalfe.mp3

The entire program may be heard at:
http://wmal.com/listingsEntry.asp?ID=323805&PT=630%20WMAL%20On%20Demand
Click on Michael Graham's Friday program under "Listen Now."

Metcalf was replacing host Michael Graham, who was suspended without pay by the station for stating repeatedly that "Islam is a terrorist organization." Graham was suspended when CAIR initiated a public campaign against WMAL and the station's advertisers after receiving complaints from Muslim listeners.

In a statement, WMAL President and General Manager Chris Berry said that Graham would be suspended for statements that "crossed the line." "We do not condone his position and believe his statements were irresponsible," said Berry. (WMAL is owned by the Walt Disney Co.)

SEE: "WMAL Suspends Talk-Show Host for Comment on Islam"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2005/07/28/AR2005072802241.html

"We are strong supporters of the First Amendment, but it is disingenuous to misuse it as a shield for incitement to religious hatred," said CAIR Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper. "WMAL needs to address the promotion of Islamophobia by its talk show hosts if the station is to maintain credibility with mainstream listeners and advertisers."

Hooper said CAIR is calling on Washington-area Muslims to contact WMAL advertisers and express their concerns. He added that people of all faiths may obtain a free copy of the Quran, Islam's revealed text, by going to: www.explorethequran.org

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED: (As always, please be POLITE.)

1. CONTACT WMAL to urge that Michael Graham's suspension be made permanent. Osama's Parity--Update

Well, folks,

I couldn't have said it better myself. Here it is, from someone who knows a whole lot more about it than I do. Too bad that this is the only way to get Our Leader's attention on the need for border security. . .I have to wonder if something like this will pull some nations together, thus aiding his hopes for a "One World" dream, or whether people will be so P.O'd that it will hurt those dreams. Whatever happens to his plans for globalization, if something like this happens, I predict that Islam will be dead, gone, disappeared.

In a sense, I hope they get this thing over with by 2013, so we can focus our attention on saving the earth from the asteroid impact scheduled for 2036. Maybe the Muslim astronomers hadn't noticed it coming our way, or maybe they just don't care.

An American Hiroshima?
By Jamie Glazov
FrontPageMagazine.com | August 2, 2005

Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Joseph Farah, the founder, editor and chief executive officer of WND and a nationally syndicated radio talk-show host. He is also the publisher of Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin, a premium, online, subscription intelligence news service.

FP: Joseph Farah, welcome to Frontpage Interview. It is a pleasure to have you here.

Farah: Thank you, Jamie.

FP: In one of your recent G-2 bulletins, you discuss the evidence suggesting that Osama is planning what he calls an "American Hiroshima" and that he already has the means to do it. Al Qaeda has apparently already smuggled nuclear weapons into the U.S. This is simply terrifying. Can you tell us a bit about this?

Farah: Several reporters and top intelligence analysts -- people including me, Yossef Bodansky, the former terrorism guru to the U.S. Congress, Paul Williams, author of the upcoming book, "The Al Qaeda Connection," and others -- have been working quietly and independently for years on this issue of al-Qaida's acquisition and plans for nuclear weapons. What's happening is that this independent work has led to surprisingly similar conclusions -- that al-Qaida has nuclear weapons, probably many of them, and that some of them, according to a variety of sources, have already been smuggled into this country using our porous borders and with the help of criminal enterprises like the MS-13 gang.

There is no question, based on captured documents and captured al-Qaida leaders that Osama bin Laden has been planning his "American Hiroshima" for many years -- long before Sept. 11, 2001. When you hear U.S. officials -- from President Bush, to Vice President Dick Cheney, to the head of the FBI and Homeland Security all telling us about the "inevitability" of a terrorist attack on the U.S. with weapons of mass destruction, this is what they are talking about. They haven't come right out and made the announcements about what they know is the threat because they have determined it might create a panic. We're not reporting anything the White House doesn't know. We're not reporting anything the CIA doesn't know. We're not reporting anything the FBI doesn't know. We're just reporting what the American people don't know. And since the government is doing next to nothing to protect the American people, it seems appropriate to let them in on the dirty little secret.

There is a major threat to the U.S. civilian population from al-Qaida's existing nuclear arsenal -- and, based on the evidence, I believe some of that arsenal has already been delivered to this country.

FP: What are Al Qaeda's prime targets? Why?

Farah: Again, according to captured documents and captured al-Qaida leaders -- and some defectors -- the plans are to detonate multiple nuclear weapons in major U.S. cities -- either all at once or over a period of days. You can guess most of the prime targets -- New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Chicago, Los Angeles, etc. The only surprise, according to my sources, is that al-Qaida's list is not based on the cities with the most population. The list is based on where most American Jews live. So you see some cities like Miami and Las Vegas and San Francisco on the list. Dates are very important to al-Qaida, as we have come to know, and one of the dates mentioned in connection with this "American Hiroshima" plan is Aug. 6, the anniversary of the U.S. nuclear attack on Hiroshima in 1945. No year has been set, but it is worth noting that this Aug. 6th is the 60th anniversary of that attack.

FP: If Al Qaeda really perpetrated this horror, what would be the result?

Farah: Thre's an old joke that goes: "One nuclear bomb can ruin your whole day." Even one nuclear detonation in a major U.S. city, of course, would mean not only the deaths of potentially millions, but it would wreak havoc on the U.S. economy -- which is a always a goal with bin Laden. He doesn't want to just kill Americans. He wants to defeat the USA. He wants to bring us to our knees. And he wants to give all the glory to Allah.

FP: Could you expand a bit on the sources for this information? How do we know they are reliable?

Farah: Personally, I have been working on this project for nearly four years. This story has not come together all at once. It has come together piecemeal over that period of time. I have had what I consider to be credible sourcing on 95 percent of this for quite awhile. I withheld it from publication because I couldn't even believe it myself. I didn't and don't want it to be true. I have no desire to be right about this. I want very badly to be wrong. This is not a story that can advance my reputation, credibility, career or business interests. If I'm wrong, which I hope I am, people may some day laugh at me. I will gratefully accept that. If I'm right, nobody is going to be saying, "Gee, that Farah told it like it was." They will be focused on the national disaster that has struck us -- just as I will be. About 90 percent of the information I have gathered on this plan is from publicly sourced documents available to you and anyone else who wants to spend the time looking for them. It's only the analysis and interpretation that requires skilled -- and sometimes unnamed -- intelligence sources.

FP: Tell us a bit about Al Qaeda’s cooperation with the Russians on this matter.

Farah: I don't know of any official cooperation with the Russian government. But al-Qaida has purchased the services of former KGB officers and former Spetznaz special forces troops with knowledge of maintaining and detonating the nuclear weapons it has obtained from the former Soviet Union. In addition, Russia is playing a very dangerous game in continuing to conceal the whereabouts of nuclear weapons planted on U.S. soil during the Cold War. Al-Qaida is furiously looking for these weapons with the help of those Russian agents it has procured for a price. If Russia wanted to save the world from this potential holocaust, it could contribute by telling the U.S. government where the nukes are buried -- before al-Qaida finds them. There is a very strong likelihood that if a nuclear weapon is detonated in the U.S., it will be a Russian nuclear weapon.

FP: Russia had already smuggled nuclear weapons into this country? How come they didn’t set them off? Because of mutually assured destruction? Because communism crumbled in Russia and the Cold War came to an end? How come the Russians haven’t disclosed their location? Because they still see us as potential enemies and are saving the nukes for a rainy day?

Farah: I believe the simple doctrine of Mutually Assured Destruction did keep an uneasy peace between the USA and Soviet Union for a generation. But today Russia needs to tell the U.S. where those nukes are buried. It is an ongoing act of war to conceal these weapons of mass destruction in our country. Too many defectors have confirmed their presence on our soil. We need explanations from the Russians. To date they have even tried to deny they ever made suitcase nukes. President Bush needs to use his relationship with Vladimir Putin to get to the truth before it is too late. How would we respond as a nation to a nuclear terrorist attack in our country knowing the weapons used against us originated in Russia? Would Russia not be accountable in any way?

At least one high-ranking Russian KGB agent said indeed that some in his country still believe war between our countries is "inevitable" so the weapons must remain concealed. That is, to say the least, unacceptable.

FP: How did we get here? Could this have been prevented?

Farah: Since the reports indicate the nuclear devices came across the Mexican border -- along with thousands of sleeper al-Qaida agents -- it seems apparent to me that we have left our back door wide open. We have used our military to project force around the world, but we have not secured the perimeter. If there is a major terrorist act in this country again -- something equivalent to 9-11 or worse, President Bush will have no one to blame but himself. No longer will we be able to look back at the failings of the Clinton administration over eight years -- and there were many -- that led to Sept. 11. Bush has been in power now for five years. It was his decision not to secure the borders.

FP: Why wouldn’t the Bush administration secure our borders? What are the advantages of leaving them unsecured? Is it too politically incorrect to secure them?

Farah: I've asked this question myself over and over. It is the most frequently asked question I hear from my radio audience and from the thousands of emails I receive from readers. President Bush candidly said it was a matter of cheap labor a few months ago. I believe that is dead wrong. I don't believe there is anything cheap about this labor. It is bankrupting our health-care system. It is taking jobs away from law-abiding American citizens. It is raising crime rates and it is threatening our national security.

No, I believe there is another more sinister reason. There is a master plan for global governance being plotted in meetings of groups like the Council on Foreign Relations. You can read its reports. And, I believe this open-borders policy is a direct result of those plans, which have been secretly adopted by our highest leaders, including President Bush.

FP: This scenario and information is all truly horrifying. Is there anything you can tell us that would give us grounds for optimism? Is there any hope? What can be done to prevent an American Hiroshima from transpiring, for by the evidence you present, it seems inevitable.

Farah: Pray very hard.

FP: I hear you Mr. Farah. I would never dismiss prayer – for gizzillions of reasons. But apart from prayer, my friend, what can we do? This seems so hopeless because I want to suggest that we announce that mutually assured destruction will come into effect immediately if we are hit, but then. . . .who the hell do we target in a revenge attack? We can’t blow up a city of the enemy because there is no city of the enemy and as a civilized democracy we simply can’t do anything of this nature. Or can we? Must we make some kind of barbarian threats that might deter these terrorists? I can’t see how because, unlike the communists, they aren’t even interested in self-preservation anyway. They want to die. This is truly depressing. Do you have any suggestions besides the counsel to pray?

Farah: Raising awareness of the problem certainly gives the American people the option of making their own contigency plans. I know people like Buffett are. I know the federal government is. Why shouldn't the American people be made starkly aware of the impending threat?

FP: As you are aware, Dr. Jack Wheeler has argued that this whole thing – the Al Qaeda plan “American Hiroshima”etc. – is a hoax. He says it is total nonsense that Soviet suitcase nukes are here in the U.S., that there were no cell phones in 1988 (to trigger them), etc. I must admit his argument that Osama would never use a nuclear bomb even if he had one because we have thousands to strike back is not quite convincing. We have no one to strike back in this terror war (in terms of a country) and Osama and his ilk aren’t particularly afraid of death. Aside from this, can you deal a bit with his dismissing of the claims?

Farah: I love Jack, but the cell phone is 30 years old. I had a cell phone in 1988. Jack's memory is a little faulty here. All one really needs to do is listen to people like President Bush, Dick Cheney, Warren Buffett and others who say not only is it possible, it is "inevitable" that nuclear terrorism will happen.

FP: Well, before we go, let me try this one more time and in a different way: suppose we all become starkly aware of the impending threat. Besides praying, is there anything we can actually do about it? Please give us some hope.

Farah: I don't use the term "inevitable." As a Christian, I don't like that term. But that's what Bush, Cheney, Ridge and many other public officials have said. I would like us, as a nation, as a people, to try to prevent it. Maybe it's that feeling of inevitability that has our public officials paralyzed. At the very least, we can minimize the impact of a future attack by denying the terrorists easy continued entry into this country by closing the borders. We should demand of our Russian friends that they come clean -- privately would be OK -- about the buried nukes in the U.S. We should get serious about the threat from within this country posed by terrorists operating within the confines of mosques and charities. We should stop discriminating against Arab Jews at the FBI, in military intelligence and in law enforcement in this country. They are fluent in the language and culture of our enemies and that would be of immense help to our national security. We must get on a war footing and enlist the help of the American people in combating this enemy. There are many things we can do -- even though the hour is late.

FP: Can you tell us a bit about the discrimination against Arab Jews at the FBI and other law enforcement agencies in this country? Why would this be happening? It makes absolutely no sense. Why do we like hiring enemies instead of friends?

Farah: We have many documented reports of Arab-American FBI translators who speak approvingly of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaida being retained and relied on for sensitive intelligence-collecting positions. At the same time we have documented reports of Arab Jews -- people who fled for their lives from Iraq, Syria and other Arab countries being systematically denied those same translating positions. Why? Apparently because they might have loyalty to Israel! It is blatant anti-Semitism being demonstrated by the U.S. government. Not only is it a self-destructive and counter-intuitive operation, it is blatantly illegal. But it continues still.

Just think how many Arab Jews there are in this country who know the language and know the culture. Why aren't we tapping that resource? Some 750,000 Jews were expelled from the Arab countries in the last 50 years. Not all of them went to Israel. Many of them live right here in the U.S.

FP: Mr. Farah, it was a pleasure to have you here with us today. Thank you for coming to share this vital and traumatizing information. We won’t blame the messenger. Take care my friend.

Farah: Thank you, Jamie. God bless you -- and God bless us all.

CNSNews.com

To Our Muslim Friends:

This CNSNews poll is a clear message to Muslims in our country and around the world.

In light of the above poll, my suggestion to the entire Islamic community is this: Muslims must discard all aspects of their religion that insist that it is their moral obligation to force the non-Islamic parts of the world to choose among the following: Convert to Islam, be killed, or become dhimmis.

If the murder and mayhem continue, and if Muslims do not very publically, widely, loudly, and SINCERELY (forget the taqiyya and kitman, my Muslim friends) stand up and actively oppose those who engage in these practices, people all around the world will become weary and run out of patience.

As you can see from the poll, you can't rely on the PC media or the PC politicians or the PC celebrities for information about how the American public regards Muslim "extremists."

Now you and I, my Muslim friends--along with many others--understand full well that the kind of behavior the so-called "extremists" engage in is actually an integral part of your religion, and that it is, in fact, your religious obligation to 1) engage in it, or at the very least, 2) support it.

We all know that there are some--not many, but some--among you who would prefer to live in peace among your Infidel neighbors. For this, you are considered heretics, and since heresy is frowned upon, up to and including qualifying you for the death penalty, you remain silent.

Look at those poll figures; I did not make them up. While they are from a selected part of the American population, they nevertheless represent a growing number of people who are getting fed up. Listen to the growing numbers of callers to radio talk shows who are angry at Muslims; consider the level of frustration Americans are experiencing at those of our politicians who refuse to take common-sense measures such as defending our ports and borders, and profiling Muslims. Watch the growing support for politicians like Tom Tancredo, who dare to confront the PC forces to warn people of what Islam is really up to.

It is said that up to 70% of Muslims support what their more activist colleagues are doing when they blow up 3000 people, saw the heads off of captive workers, bomb school buses and subways, and on, and on, and on.

As for the 30% of you who do not, you risk getting caught up in whatever happens to your hostile fellows if their irrational behaviors do not stop soon. There are those, including myself, who greatly fear that bitterness and anger will sweep up those among you who "compartmentalize" your religion, living only by its more reasonable parts, and rejecting those parts which doom Muslims to unremitting conflict, generation after generation, with the rest of the world.

Do not be discouraged that only 25%-30% of you wish to co-exist with non-Muslims. After all, only 30% of American Colonists supported the idea of political separation from Britain. The war was hard fought, and we paid dearly for it, but look at us now!

Do I believe you must discard Islam? No; groups exist today, as we speak, that have "spun off" from the kind of Islam that the rest of the world is growing weary of. If you know your own history, then you know that the Koran, the Hadith, and the Sirat Rasul Allah have not always been the literal "marching orders" that they became when Al-Ghazali finally established fundamentalism as the one and only version of Islam.

I strongly suggest that if you wish to survive at all as a religion, that you re-examine and reconsider adopting the views of your Mu'tazilite predecessors, the writings of Ibn Rushd, the philosophy of scholars such as Ali Sina, and all of those sects today that would prefer a peaceful, productive, happy life.

There is no way on God's green earth that Islam, as practiced today, will be permitted by the rest of the world to continue on its present course forever, and if you do not stand up and act, you will almost surely find yourselves in a nasty pickle.

Act you must, if you wish to survive; you can do it! At the beginning of WWII, the Shinto religion shared many of the more troublesome aspects of Islam, and largely because of that, many Americans of Japanese descent were herded off to internment camps because friend could not easily be discerned from foe.

What did the Japanese Americans do? Well, for example, they joined the military and became heros in defense of the United States. They took their oath seriously, not in the spirit of Islam's well-known taqiyya and kitman, and they did not use their positions in the military as a means of sabotaging the war effort or "fragging" their officers. They were true heroes, and in less than a generation after the war, they became respected citizens of the United States once again.

You can do it, my friends, and I suggest that if you need to form secret "resistence" groups against those who would kill you for your heresy, like those formed by those opposing the Nazis in Europe during WWII, then do so, and do it quickly.

Take the poll seriously. Consider the alternative if you don't. Americans are becoming impatient with our PC politicians who refuse to take common-sense measures in the best interests of our beloved country.

You may have noticed that Americans aren't inclined to sit around on their hands, waiting for the government to "do something." We have always been a "can-do" people. One of our favorite old saying goes, "If you want something done right, do it yourself." For example, we are growing tired of our President's abject refusal, for whatever reason, to carry out his oath of office and protect the borders, so we are beginning to do the job ourselves. Watch us as we continue to move in the direction of protecting our country by each and every means necessary, including electing officials who understand what must be done. Many of us--and that includes this blogger--plan to enthusiastically support the candidacy of reality-oriented politicians of integrity like Tom Tancredo for president, who would take whatever measures necessary to put an end to this lethal ongoing Islamic temper tantrum.

As the Muslim community knows as well as anyone, there is currently a lot of speculation growing that lethal devices of some sort, possibly even radiological, have been placed about this country in various locations--some suggest that they are hidden in mosques. If this is so, and if they are used, it will be too late for you. Even those among you who are 1) in complete opposition to terrorism AND 2) desire co-existence AND 3) oppose the forced conversion of the earth into a Muslim planet will, unfortunately, unavoidably suffer the consequences.

Many of us understand that living under the system you live under, with its totalitarian control, its continuous stream of threats for deviation of any kind, its prohibition of questioning Islam in any way, its micromanagement of your lives to the point where you have no time to do anything other than figure out how to avoid the fires of hell, can drain you of your confidence in your own competence, of your self-esteem, and of your courage. But if you have any shred left of self-esteem and courage, and some ideas about how to stop the madness, ACT, don't just sit there, hoping you won't be mistaken for the enemy.

Time is running out.

The Greatest Con Game in History

Folks,

Do you remember the Klingons? They had a technology that could shield their warships by rendering them invisible to the Federation Starships. This allowed them to attack, undetected until it was too late, anyone in the galaxy.

Islam has a "shield technology" too, and it is using it brilliantly.

They use their claim to be a legitimate "religion" to render their goal of world domination effectively invisible to their intended victims. Their claim that their cause is a sacred one renders them immune from scrutiny, and from appropriate response from the rest of us.

Here's the scoop:

In the West, we have a solid tradition of respect for independent thought, including the freedom to choose how we express our spiritual lives. Our spiritual choices are considered to be personal and free of compulsion from the government.

In the United States, this respect goes back to the very founding of the country; Thomas Jefferson, for example, said he didn't care if someone believed in twenty gods or none.

The Framers of the Constitution listened to a pre-Revolutionary writer named Robert Molesworth, whose thinking was considered pivotal in the justification of the Revolution. He had, among many other things, studied the matter of totalitarianism, and found that one of the most effective ways a government had of immunizing itself from criticism was to fuse with religion. If the state was able to pull off such a fusion, then it could be considered an agent of God rather than a human production. By that logic, any criticism or opposition could be elevated to the status of "sin" instead of mere honest intellectual disagreement.

Recall that the Founders justified the dissolution of political ties with Britain because King George III, whose position also made him the Head of the Church of England, had been in the habit of violating individual rights. One of the problems faced by the Colonists was that their criticism of the Crown was not well received, and the suggestions for change in policy were ignored.

The cardinal reason for the Revolution was to design a new country from scratch, where the sole function of the government was to protect individual rights. They did it, and for the first time in the history of mankind, a nation was born based on the Elightenment principles of reason and rights, and the very purpose of its existence was to protect individual rights.

The Declaration of Independence made it clear that should the government stray from that purpose, it was the right, even the obligation, of the citizens to alter or even abolish it.

Any fusion of religion with the state would run counter to the Framers' desire to protect the freedom of the citizens not only to choose their own way of expressing their spiritual lives, but of criticizing (to say nothing of altering or abolishing) the government.

This freedom was considered to be so important that these are the very first words in the Bill of Rights: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion. . ."

"Fusion" is thus Islam's gimmick, the "shield" it uses that allows it to fly under the radar to destroy our country.

Islam--"submission" in Arabic--is an entity where state and religion are totally fused. The Koran is their constitution in addition to being a manual of instruction on how to conquer the world. Sharia, the law of the Ummah, is the word of Allah himself, derived from Islam's canonical documents--the Koran, the Hadith, and the Sirat Rasul Allah.

The "religion-state complex," the fused entity called Islam, is therefore considered to be the creation of Allah, and it takes precedence over all things conceived or created by human beings--things like the United States and the Constitution. As a political science professor at Yale, Imam Zaid Shakir has said, "The Koran pushes us (Muslims) in the exact opposite direction to the forces at work in the American political spectrum." As a result, the Imam states the Muslims can't accept the legitimacy of the existing (American) system.

Since Islam considers itself to be the agent of Allah on earth, it considers as "sins" any questions, criticism or alteration of any kind, and obviously, it would never tolerate its abolition. Under sharia, the "sins" make the "heretic" or "apostate" thinking them eligible for the death penalty. This set of prohibitions against "immoral" thinking, speaking, and behavior, along with the religiously proscribed punishments implemented by Allah's agent on earth, Islam, is what scares the few followers of Islam who would like to see reform.

For those of us in the West, the thing that makes us so reluctant to reveal what's behind the PC Curtain is our complete respect for the freedom of anyone to believe whatever he wants. We feel very self-conscious about snooping into the personal beliefs of others. "Religion" is something one doesn't even bring up in polite conversation with people we don't know well. And that's OK; you can believe the moon is made of green cheese if you wish.

We in the West would be--and are--horrified by those among us who would impose, by law, their beliefs on others. Persuade, yes; compel, no. That's why we even have trouble believing, even while reading Islam's canonical documents, that terrorists are carrying out their religious obligations.

Not only are the active terrorists doing so, but so are those who support them by funding them, by sympathizing with their purpose, and by those who merely fail to object. These morepassive people are also carrying out their religious obligations. More than that, they have all have been granted the moral authority to do whatever it takes, up to and including murder and mayhem, to accomplish the goal that Mohammad set out when he established Islam. That was the original goal, and it remains the goal today--world conquest.

It is PRECISELY our respect for the freedom of the individual to choose his own spiritual life that makes us so reluctant to see the danger represented by the "Fusion." It's our own virtue being used to destroy us. If Mohammad had been able to see into the future, he could have done nothing that would have been more effective as a "stealth" weapon against us than his invention of his military machine and then calling it a "religion." So reluctant are we to examine Islam that we insist that terrorism etc. are the actions of a "tiny minority of extremists who have hijacked and perverted a great religion of peace and tolerance."

Our spiritual lives, in contrast to Islam's, don't involve religiously sanctioned/state funded terrorism, throat-slitting, RPG's, flogging, killing thousands by flying planes into skyscrapers, blowing up subways and school buses, and on, and on, and on, and on. . .That is the function of the state/religion complex of Islam.

If Islam's thinking and behavior were stripped clean of its self-appointed partnership with the divine, the West would have no problem seeing it for what it is--a world-wide gang of thugs bent on destroying us.

We tend to forget that while one may believe whatever he wishes, one may not ACT in a manner that violates the rights of another. That prohibition against the violation of rights includes religious expression. Such actions are the initiation of the use of physical force, and its intellectual equivalent, fraud and deceit. All of these--physical force, fraud and deceit--are weapons of war that are religiously sanctioned by Islam.

Osama openly declared war on us, but we just won't listen. Sometimes, someone will ask, "But how can we declare war, when there is no particular country that has attacked us? There are Muslims in every country in the world. What would the target be?"

The target is Islam.

We can, and ought to, openly declare war on Islam, wherever it exists. We must not allow its claim to be a product of the divine to render its ambitions and weapons invisible to us, and immune to a proper response. Sure, our method of fighting a war will have to shift to meet current conditions; so?

Yes, there are millions upon millions of Muslims around the world, operating in all countries to bring others into the Ummah, forcibly if need be, and working to create a world-wide Caliphate. However, the fact that millions of people today are followers of Islam because their ancestors had the misfortune to be intimidated and forced to become followers of Mohammad, alters nothing.

Millions of pious enemies are still enemies.

American Dhimmitude: Graham and Tancredo vs the Dhimmi Makers and the Dhimmis Made

Now Is the Time for All Good Men and Women to Come to the Aid of their Country...

What is happening to Michael Graham, former talk show host at WMAL in Washington, DC, over on-air remarks made about Islam is coming to a television and radio station near you, and to the presses of America--UNLESS WE PUSH BACK AND DO SO RIGHT NOW.

Over the weekend, while preparing an article on this issue, I reread everything I could regarding what Mr. Graham said and what has been said about him. I found exactly one, tiny historical error about the early history of Islam. That was it! Everything he said about the nature and intent of Islam IS AND WAS TRUE, PROVABLE, AND TOTALLY VERIFIABLE.

Mr. Graham ran afoul of the Islamic propaganda machine and its legion of brown shirts, under the direction of CAIR (Council for American-Islamic Relations) and the Stockholm syndrome of dhimmitudinous thinking coming from radio station WMAL, ABC, and the Walt Dhimmi Company. What is happening to Mr. Graham is not only a disgusting moral travesty for corporate cowards, it is OPEN WAR ON THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION. If successful, its success will propel groups like CAIR to link arms with our Bill of Rights destroying Supreme Court and Leftist senators to strip out talk radio and all other forms of free speech.

This is a big time issue and it deserves the fullest backing by Americans who want to preserve and protect our republic "for which it stands." This morning, Jewish World Review, which has made it very easy to register citizen protests, says that far too few have used its easy mechanism:

CAIR SUCCEEDING AT INTIMIDATING ABC/DISNEY

The Muslim "defense group" that has been linked to some extraordinarily "controversial" Islamics has managed to get JWR columnist Michael Graham booted from the air. Given their success, they will no doubt begin targeting other talk show hosts across the fruited plain who dare to express opinions that many patriotic/non-PC Americans know to be the truth.

On Friday, we requested that our readers please take a moment and send a note to WMAL's management via our EASY TO USE TECHNOLOGY that we set up as a sidebar at http://jewishworldreview.com/0705/graham_booted.php3. CAIR's followers, after all, told THEIR sympathizers to bombard the station, which is why Mike is off the air to begin with. Many of our readers responded. TOO MANY DID NOT.

PLEASE spend a moment to write a note --- and SPREAD THE WORD!

Doing so will help keep freedom of speech alive and protect talk radio. This is NOT a local issue. The War on Terror has spread to talk radio. It's one we can't allow ourselves to lose due to inaction.

For the record, we have sent a number of messages from the WMAL radio site (www.630WMAL.com) to the general manager. In the last week of July 2005, we posted four blogs on Sixth Column to provide consderable background and current information about the Michael Graham issue, and those are also available in the July 2005 blog archives (easily accessible).

Andrew Whitehead, a modern day hero in this battle against "terror" and director of the ACAIR or Anti-CAIR website (see our blog of 1 August 2005 on Sixth Column) published more intellectual ammunition on Front Page Magazine on 1 August 2005. ABC Disney Capitulates to Hamas-Sponsored Group, August 1, 2005.

One of the points that WMAL allowed itself to be dhimmied by is the CAIR-instigated fatwa against terrorism. Andrew Whitehead puts that into perspective (from the same article):

Ironically, CAIR announced today that a group of US Muslim scholars were issuing a fatwa against terrorism. In an ironic twist, according to Ibrahim Hooper of CAIR, the fatwa was issued in part due to criticism from talk radio hosts like Michael Graham.

The fatwa, signed by many Muslims with suspicious ties to terrorism, appears to be nothing but a smokescreen, designed to provide political coverage to groups like CAIR who are increaseingly coming under scrutiny from law enforcement. When we consider it took almost four years for the fatwa to be issued, we have to ask why did it take so long?

The fatwa says much about “extremism” and “terrorism”, but does not define what they are. In addition, Muzammil H. Siddiqi, head of the Fiqh Council, says "Suicide bombing is forbidden in Islam'' but doesn’t define what suicide bombing is. These are important questions when we observe that numerous such fatwa’s issued worldwide in the past several years have done nothing to stop either suicide attacks nor terrorist attacks committed in the name of Islam.

Considering CAIR’s checkered past, why were they allowed to place their name on the fatwa in the first place? Both Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad are both founders and former officials of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP).

Where are the names of the terrorist organizations and personalities in the fatwa? Is it possible CAIR did not want to offend their fellow travelers in Hamas, Palestine Islamic Jihad, and Hizbollah? Or could it be that, in CAIR’s opinion, that the only terrorists are Israel and the United States?

Then, in summary, Mr. Whitehead, like JWR, looks the truth squarely in the eye:

CAIR’s attack on Graham is an insult to all Americans who value the truth for several reasons. First, he didn’t say anything that isn’t true; secondly, he didn’t offer gratuitious pot-shots at Islam designed to inflame or incite hate; finally, CAIR has rarely failed to miss an opportunity to insult America…for them to claim Graham has insulted Islam is beyond laughable…it is disengenous…and dangerous, if CAIR gets its way.

To contact ABC Radio in Washington and express your opinion about their decision to cave into pressure from CAIR, call the General Manager, Chris Berry, at 202-686-3100 or email feedback@630wmal.com. Andrew Whitehead is the head of Anti-Cair (www.anti-cair-net.org) and a contributing writer to the Israel Resource News Agency.

Now, get ready to have your cake frosted with something you would rather not eat. Over the weekend, CAIR's emails to its androids stated:

*Contact WMAL to Urge Firing of Michael Graham

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUESTED: (As always, please be POLITE.) -

CONTACT WMAL to urge that Michael Graham's suspension be made permanent.

We Americans are at a watershed moment in our history. On 23 June 2005, the Supreme Court abrogate the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution. Now CAIR, et al, seek to abrogate the First Amendment.

The pen is still mightier than the sword. The electronic pen is the most powerful one ever. Use it, and use it over and over and over. WMAL, ABC, and the Walt Dhimmi Company are stuffed full of politically correct dhimmis. Let's not people like this, and CAIR et al, determine our futures.

CAIR Founded by "Islamic Terrorists"?

Welcome to August of 2005. Let's take names and kick butt.

The best butt to kick right now is that of CAIR, the Council for American-Islamic Relations. As this terrific summary article by Daniel Pipes and Sharon Chadha documents, with links galore, CAIR is not what it gets called by sycophant journalists: "a civil rights organization." It is a Muslim bullying propagandistic organization, or as Pipes and Chadha phrase it: "the largest, most vocal, and dangerous Islamist organization in North America."

CAIR thrives off of a huge inflow of money from national and international sources, and it lives on its ability to scare the panties off people who would rather go to their own beheading, so to speak, than court or appear politically incorrect. CAIR milks the politically correct for all they are worth and backs down politicians, bureaucrats, journalists, academics, media, etc., into shameful obsequiousness, with their threats and bluster. They have a large number of Muslim supporters awaiting any beck and call from CAIR to email, fax, phone, and even visit in order to protest, just as CAIR orders them to do. Protest what, you ask? The answer is: whatever CAIR tells them to do. They are puppets on strings and hand puppets. Their numbers scare the spineless half to death.

The whole flap involving Michael Graham, the radio talk show host fired from WMAL radio in Washington, DC, comes from CAIR winding up the faithful in order to damage and destroy Michael Graham and force WMAL into a dhimmi posture. We blogged this issue on Sixth Column in detail the last week of July 2005.

But, take heart. There are real men and women who are real heroes out there. Representative Tom Tancredo would not let CAIR buffalo him, and CAIR blinked. See our recent articles in July 2005 on Sixth Column about Representative Tancredo for details.

CAIR tried to bully Mr. Whitehead who founded ACAIR (aka, Anti-CAIR), but Mr. Whitehead was not about to be intimidated by the sorry likes of CAIR. That is what the Pipes and Chadha article concerns.

We had intended to link and synopsize their article, but we elected to reproduce it as it came to us via email subscription. It is too good not to read it all.

The bottom line for Americans who still have spine and self-esteem is for them to stand up to CAIR. Then, CAIR will back down. And, just as every time someone buckled before CAIR, CAIR got stronger, it works the other way as well. Every time we stand up to CAIR, it buckles and weakens. If you look behind the curtain, you see the illusion of the Wizard of CAIR...

CAIR Founded by "Islamic Terrorists"?

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, Inc., filed a defamation lawsuit against Andrew Whitehead, of Anti-CAIR (or ACAIR), a grass-roots project whose name explains its mission: to expose the largest, most vocal, and dangerous Islamist organization in North America.

CAIR's March 2004 lawsuit is part of what seems to be a policy of using the legal process to silence or chill critics. In this case, CAIR claimed it had been harmed by six statements on ACAIR's website, including CAIR's being founded by Hamas supporters, being partially funded by terrorists, and intending to impose Islamic law on the United States.

Then, on June 20, 2005, CAIR filed an amended motion that substantially cut back on its libel claims, retaining just portions of two of the original six statements. With original misspellings retained, the offending passages are:

Let their be no doubt that CAIR is a terrorist supporting front organization….
[CAIR] seeks to overthrow constitutional government in the United States….

Why did CAIR drastically reduce its claims versus Whitehead?

It might have to do with Whitehead, admirably represented by Reed Rubinstein of Greenberg Traurig LLP, having responded to CAIR's lawsuit with an extensive and well informed set of discovery requests and documents. These filings perhaps established for CAIR the depth of Whitehead's knowledge and the soundness of his opinions. If so, then CAIR's leadership concluded that the bulk of its case against Whitehead would collapse in court.

CAIR's filing an amended motion has two apparent implications: that CAIR has tacitly acknowledges the truth of Whitehead's deleted assertions; and those assertions can now be repeated with legal impunity.

We list here the key statements that CAIR no longer deems legally improper, followed by some speculations as to why it might have decided not to contest them in court.

[CAIR is an] organization founded by Hamas supporters….
CAIR was started by Hamas members….
CAIR … was founded by Islamic terrorists.

CAIR's leadership must have stretched its collective memory back to 1994 and recalled (along with counterterrorism expert Matthew Epstein) that Omar Ahmad and Nihad Awad, former officials of the Islamic Association of Palestine (IAP), founded the organization, while IAP's president, Rafeeq Jabar, was (according to Steve Emerson) one of CAIR's founding directors,.
Former FBI counterterrorism chief Oliver "Buck" Revell) has described the IAP as "a front organization for Hamas." This linkage between the IAP and Hamas was decisively established in 2004, when a federal judge in Chicago found it partially liable for $156 million in damages for its role in aiding and abetting Hamas in the murder of David Boim, a 17-year-old American citizen.
And, CAIR no doubt remembered that it had been caught by Joe Kaufman exploiting the 9/11 attacks to raise funds for two Hamas-linked fundraising organizations, the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) and the Global Relief Foundation.

[CAIR] is partially funded by terrorists…

Terrorists themselves don't literally give out money, but organizations that fund terrorism also fund CAIR.

The Saudi-based Islamic Development Bank, gave CAIR $250,000 in August 1999. The IDB also manages funds (Al-Quds, Al-Aqsa) which finance suicide bombings against Israeli civilians by providing funds to the families of Palestinian "martyrs."

The International Institute of Islamic Thought, an organization linked to the Muslim Brotherhood, gave CAIR's Washington office $14,000 in 2003, according to IIIT tax filings. David Kane, who investigated IIIT as part of Operation Green Quest's probe into some one hundred companies and organizations, described in a sworn affidavit the various ways in which it may have funded suspected terrorist-front organizations.

The International Relief Organization (also called the International Islamic Relief Organization, or IIRO), a Saudi-financed organization being investigated by the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance for terrorism financing donated at least $12,000 to CAIR.

CAIR receives direct funding from Islamic terrorist supporting countries.

CAIR has received funds from Saudi Arabia, such as the $250,000 from the Islamic Development Bank noted above. In addition; the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), a Saudi-sponsored charity (and another one suspected of financing terror), announced in December 1999 that it "was extending both moral and financial support to CAIR" to help it construct its $3.5 million headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Saudi Arabia, the homeland Osama bin Laden and fifteen of the nineteen 9/11 hijackers, is reasonably described as "terrorist supporting." The 9/11 Commission staff describes Saudi Arabia as having an environment where "fund-raisers and facilitators throughout Saudi Arabia and the Gulf" raised money for al Qaeda. In July 2005, U.S. Treasury Undersecretary Stuart Levey stated that "even today, we believe that Saudi donors may still be a significant source of terrorist financing, including for the insurgency in Iraq."

CAIR has proven links to… Islamic terrorists.

It's easy to understand why CAIR chose to leave this one alone, what with five current or former CAIR affiliates arrested, convicted, or deported on terrorism-related charges:

Randall Royer, CAIR's communications specialist and civil rights coordinator, was indicted on charges of conspiring to help Al-Qaeda and the Taliban to battle American troops in Afghanistan. He later pled guilty to lesser firearms-related charges and was sentenced to twenty years in prison.

Ghassan Elashi, the founder of CAIR's Texas chapter, was convicted in July 2004 along with his four brothers of having illegally shipped computers from their Dallas-area business, InfoCom Corporation, to Libya and Syria, two designated state sponsors of terrorism. In April of 2005, Elashi and two brothers were also convicted of knowingly doing business with Mousa Abu Marzook, a senior Hamas leader and Specially Designated Terrorist. He continues to face charges that he provided more than $12.4 million to Hamas while he was running the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF), America's largest Islamic charity.

Bassem Khafagi, CAIR's community relations director, pleaded guilty in September 2003 to lying on his visa application and for passing bad checks for substantial amounts in early 2001, for which he was deported. Khafagi was also a founding member and president of the Islamic Assembly of North America (IANA), an organization under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice for terrorism-related activities.

Rabih Haddad, a CAIR fundraiser, was arrested on terrorism-related charges and deported from the United States due to his subsequent work as executive director of the Global Relief Foundation, a charity he co-founded; in October 2002, GRF was designated by the U.S. Treasury Department for financing Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. According to a CAIR complaint, Homam Albaroudi, a member of CAIR's Michigan chapter and also a founding member and executive director of the IANA also founded the Free Rabih Haddad Committee.

Siraj Wahhaj, a CAIR advisory board member, was named in 1995 by U.S. Attorney Mary Jo White as a possible unindicted co-conspirator in connection with the plot to blow up New York City landmarks led by the blind sheikh, Omar Abdul Rahman.

CAIR is a fundamentalist organization dedicated to the overthrow of the United States Constitution and the installation of an Islamic theocracy in America.

CAIR wishes nothing more than the implementation of a SHARIA law in America.

[CAIR seeks to replace the government of the United States] with an Islamist theocracy using our own Constitution as protection....

CAIR is here to make radical Islam the dominant religion in the United States and to convert our country into an Islamic theocracy along the lines of Iran.

CAIR's goals are clear, as indicated by its leaders' sometimes revealing comments:

Ihsan Bagby, a future CAIR board member, stated in the late 1980s that Muslims "can never be full citizens of this country," referring to the United States, "because there is no way we can be fully committed to the institutions and ideologies of this country."

Ibrahim Hooper, the future CAIR spokesman, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune on April 4, 1993: "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future."

Omar Ahmad, CAIR's chairman, announced in July 1998 that "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran . . . should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth."

These facts suggest why CAIR felt it had to drop most of its libel claims against Andrew Whitehead. Should this case go to court, we will watch with interest how Whitehead's two remaining opinions (that CAIR is a terrorist-supporting front organization and that it seeks to overthrow the constitutional government of the United States) will fare.
