Let's Throw a Party, I Couldn't Be Happier: The New Era of Hydrogen Fuel Begins Today!

Let the petrobillionairs eat oil and the Chinese and others scheme to get their share. A new pump at the Shell Station on Benning Road NE in the D.C. "represents a new concept in automotive technology: hydrogen power."

Shell Hydrogen and General Motors are teaming up to introduce the concept that the average motorist can only dream about as there are only six local vehicles that now run on the fuel. As shell has spent $2 million installing the pump, its a safe to believe that sooner rather than later, hydrogen fuel will become more widely available.

Shell and GM are proponets of moving towards a "hydrogen economy," fueled by hydrogen fuel cells that convert hydrogen and oxygen into wateer, producing no pollution. It won't happen overnight, but this is a concept for which we are all ready. If this doesn't work, there's always the much more expensive He3, a substance found on the Moon. Anything to eliminate our dependence on foreign oil.

I am confident that our Yankee knowhow will prevail as Amerians are fed up with being held hostage foreign oil producers.
