A Really Exciting New Book

I am so excited about a book I just read that I am rereading it and enjoying it even more the second time through. It is Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault by Stephen R. C. Hicks, Scholargy Publishing, Tempe, 2004; ISBN 1-59247-642-2. Prof. Hicks teaches philosophy at Rockford College in Illinois.

What would make such a dusty-sounding book of philosophy so fascinating? I will publish a review of it for our website soon, but, until then, let me offer some teases.

Have you wondered about any of these questions?

• Why so many universities, their administrations and faculties, are so anti-America?
• Why there is so much negativism in entertainment and journalistic media?
• Why modern liberals are they way they are?
• Why the Left are nihilists and want to destroy the West and America?
• What happened to America’s founding principles?
• Whether there is any hope for the future of America?

You may have to make some of the connections yourself, but Dr. Hicks gives you the intellectual ammunition to do it.
