Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-Co) Breaks P. C. Omerta
The Daily Whine from CAIR (Council for American-Islamic Relations) of 18 July 2005 is like the wolf trying to blow down the brick home of the three little pigs.
CO MUSLIMS SEEK MTG WITH TANCREDO OVER 'BOMB MECCA' REMARK - TOP
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 7/18/05) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) said today that it is working with leaders of the Colorado Muslim community to set up a meeting with Rep. Tom Tancredo (R-CO) over his recent remarks suggesting support for bombing Mecca, Islam's holiest site.
Tancredo made the remarks during an interview on the Pat Campbell Show in Florida last Thursday discussing what should be done in response to an attack on this country by "extremist fundamentalist Muslims." Tancredo said one possible response would be to "take out their holy sites." When Campbell asked if the congressman was "talking about bombing Mecca," Tancredo replied, "Yeah."

On Sunday, Tancredo released a statement saying he was just trying to figure out how the United States could deter future attacks. The statement said: "Among the many things we might do to prevent such an attack on America would be to lay out there as a possibility the destruction of these sites."
"I do not advocate this," said Tancredo in his statement. "Much more thought would need to be given to the potential ramifications of such a horrific response."

CAIR said local and national Republican leaders should repudiate the congressman's remarks and Tancredo himself should apologize immediately to the people of Colorado and to the American Muslim community.
The Washington-based council asked Muslims and other people of conscience to contact the Republican Party to ask for an apology and repudiation of the offensive statements. (E-Mail: info@gop.com, Copy to: cair@cair-net.org )
What Tom Tancredo did was not wrong in any objective or moral sense. It was wrong in the political correctness sense because it broke the "code of silence" (to borrow from the Mafia, the omerta). In short, one is not supposed to say this sort of thing. Whether it is true, or useful, or even just hypothetical, it must not be said. Why? It might "offend" Muslims and any one else so predisposed to being offended by every zephyr.
Even Michael Medved, conservative talk show host and orthodox Jew, roared in displeasure on 18 July about the "stupidity" of Mr. Tancredo's remarks and castigated anyone who might be sympatico with his remarks. Medved just knew such an act would verify every assertion about us made by Osama bin Laden.
Who the hell cares about whether bin Laden's assertions get verified or not? Who cares that the "Muslim community," a.k.a., the ummah, would be angry at us? How does that differ from today? Has our brown-nosing CAIR, ISNA, etc., and the entire ummah done us one bit of good? Obviously, it has not.
But there is more to the substance of Rep. Tancredo's musings than meet the ear and the eye.
We wrote on Sixth Column months ago about listening to an interview of Victor Mordecai. Alas, we cannot find the exact reference for the time being, but his words made an indelible impression on us. And, you, wherever you are in the world, must pay attention to his words.
Victor was interviewed by Michael Medved. His first interview, done weeks earlier, had set off a chilling but very strong reaction among Medved listeners. So, Victor had been invited back.
Who is Victor Mordecai?
He is an Israeli terrorism expert who predicted with astonishing precision and accuracy the events of 9-11 in America. Since he is politically incorrect, he has been ignored and hidden by the so-called "main street media"(MSM).
Victor lives in Israel, and he is married to an Egyptian Jewess who is utterly fluent in Arabic. Victor and his wife monitor the "nuances" among the Islamists in his part of the world, as well as monitoring what is going on with the Israeli government. The man is no kook. He speaks well and rationally. Trouble is, he does not say what the politically correct deem proper to hear. You should hear it, however, if you want to stay alive in this Islamist assault on civilization.
Mrs. Mordecai monitors the Middle East radio broadcast media. We hear very little about what transpires on these broadcasts. Were it not for MEMRI (Middle East Media Research Institute), we would know NOTHING. MEMRI does all it can, but it cannot do it all. Mrs. Mordecai fills in.
The following is the popular Middle East talk radio chatter.
The goal the Islamists want is to detonate a nuclear bomb in Jerusalem. This would prove the superiority of Allah and Islam.
Conversely, they say on these broadcasts that should the West detonate nuclear devices which would wipe out Mecca and Medina, this would prove that the God of the People of the Book is superior to Allah. Then, Muslims would immediately convert to Christianity and
Judaism.
I am not making this up.
Mr. Mordecai went on to indicate without revealing sources or any details that plans have been laid to the last detail, should Islamia or any of its components strike Israel with nuclear devices. Mecca and Medina would be gone in a puff of extremely hot smoke, and staying "hot" for centuries.
I find neither any reason to doubt that such plans exist or that they will be carried out. Efforts will not stop at Mecca and Medina, either.
What's wrong with the concepts and principles behind such plans? I'm looking. I'm looking...
